Modern, large home located in popular Waiotahe Drifts, spread over two levels. So close to the beach and only 5 minutes drive to Opotiki. Two living areas, great kitchen, two bathrooms, outdoor seating area, garage.

This large, modern holiday home is sure to please everyone.  Located in the popular Waiotahe Drifts estate, it is an ideal base for family, friends or co-workers working out of town.  Spread out over two floors, with bedrooms located on either floor, this house is large enough to accommodate a group of ten easily.  The kitchen is beautifully laid out and is the centre of activity on the bottom floor, so you can be a part of the conversation whilst whipping up gourmet meals.  No one wants to do dishes while on a break, so the dishwasher will come in handy. Warmed by the fire in the winter, this will be a great location all year round.  After a hard day at the beach, come home to a couple of cold ones outside on the patio or play a few rounds of pool, upstairs, when the weather is not as wonderful as it normally is.

With two living areas, two bathrooms and a garage, why wouldn't you make the most of this opportunity and book a break today?

A car would be required to drive from here to town centre. The property is very close to the beach and there is a park nearby. Off street parking and garage is available for your vehicle.

Opotiki District Council operates a zero waste policy. Guests are required to remove their rubbish at the conclusion of their stay and drop off at the Resource Recovery Centre, 38 Wellington Street, Opotiki.

Waiotahe Drifts is a new subdivision located 5 minute's drive from Opotiki.

We stayed at this beach house for our wedding week and used it as our base house, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed! The layout was amazing and had such a nice indoor-outdoor flow, which made it great for getting ready and spending time with family and friends. It was also really kid-friendly — our little ones loved the cute picnic table outside!The only small downsides were that the house could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived, one of the kitchen drawers was broken, and the section wasn’t fenced, which made it a bit tricky with the kids. But overall, it was a lovely spot and worked perfectly for our wedding stay.

Great property for a large group. We had 9 people and it was excellent, very versatile for a mixed group of couples and singles. It's really well insulated so once the fire had heated the place up, it stayed toasty warm during our rather cold winter stay.

Quiet beachside neighborhood

We were a bit worried when some local friends told us that Opotiki could be a little rough, but we didn’t have anything to worry about. The neighborhood is quiet with friendly neighbors. I had no qualms about walking around to the BEACH, which was spectacular! About 5 minute walk from the house, it was wide, long, and plenty of shells to be found. We had some rainy weather during our stay and I was sorry I couldn’t enjoy it more. The only downside was limited dining options close by and a 30+ min drive to Whakatane The downstairs of the house had huge sliding doors that you could open up to the backyard. There is no AC so you really had to open them, but there were several fans scattered around the house as well. We did have some mosquitos getting in through those windows. Nice large open living area and a well appointed kitchen that had everything we needed. There’s a French press but no Nespresso machine, so bring coffee (not pods!). Property was well maintained. Nice laundry room with newer washer and dryer and a large rack to hang clothing. The downstairs bedrooms are right off the living area and require you to walk around the kitchen and through the laundry room to get to the only first floor bathroom. Upstairs bathroom is spacious. Game room at the end of the hallway is a great second living space. Had some questions about trash but management company was responsive and we got it sorted.

Beautiful Stay

Perfect property for our group of small families. Such a comfortable stay with lots of space for us to enjoy the weekend for a special occasion with friends. Close to the beach which was great for the kids and adults. Thank you very much

Great safe little area and very close to beach. Open floor plan made it easy for a group of 9 adults to coexist inside when the weather turned. Everyone on the trip would definitely come back again!

Group friendly

10 of us stayed. Above the basics met. Great property to relax in, prepare a great meal in and play a game of pool. Large space to play some outside games. Beach 5 minute walk away. Lovely neighbourhood. Parking was reasonable. Shop acces a 5 minute drive away. Really comfortable stay.
