We had a great 8 day stay here.. really nice setting looking at the mountains, great clear skies to view the stars as well.... Enjoyed the swimming pool very much , also wondering around the vast gardens was great.... Nice and spacious house with large lounge , kitchen and a big bedroom.... Also enjoyed the odd norman wisdom film from the dvd library in the evenings, great selection of film and TV.... Had a really good time......big thumbs up from us
Lovely relaxing stay. The villa was great & totally secluded - had everything we needed - the pool was fantastic - not overlooked. Sunset over the mountains was a highlight. Plenty of shade. Pete helpful upon arrival & didnât both us at all while we were there. Didnât see him after check in. Our 3 year old son had such a fun time exploring the grounds & playing in the pool. Really expansive shade to keep him protected. Orgiva is a gateway to the seaside, traditional Spanish towns, Granada & beyond. Iâd highly recommend this to anyone - children or no children - itâs genuinely a place to energise & restore.
We had a great week here, the house has everything you need, set in beautiful gardens and with amazing views. Peter is a lovely host. We would definitely recommend this place and would love come back some day. Orgiva is a very friendly town. We would recommend Baraka and Pizza N Love for food and also Nur Bakery for bread and amazing cakes
This was a holiday we will never forget. We were met by Peter, the most affable of hosts, whose recommendations about what to do and where to eat were extremely useful. The house was lovely - very secluded and the highlight for us was the huge terrace with mountain views. We will remember relaxing here listening to Cat Stevens! Thank you Peter for a wonderful stay.
We stayed for a week with our children aged 9 and 11. Peter met us and directed us to the property which was walking distance (<15 mins) from Ărgiva but nicely isolated.
The place was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. There was a supermarket and other stores in Ărgiva and lucky for us some ripe pomegranates in the garden too!
One note for those with younger children is the second bedroom is off the terrace so not connected directly to the main house - this was fine for us and is clear in the description but worth flagging as might not fit so well for younger children.
The pool was clean and perfect for a dip and the garden really spacious - we especially enjoyed the terrace where we ate most meals.
Locally so much is accessible - we walked into Orgiva a few times and especially enjoyed the market, the library (Don Quixote exhibit!) and eating at Baraka. We also had a lovely coffee and snacks at the Cafe Galinda Plaza. We visited some of the white villages and loved Trevelez -we ate well at the restaurante la fragua- and left with plenty of ham. The kids enjoyed the 3 pigs trail. Kids also enjoyed Soportuja - the witch theme was fun but also a beautiful village and views. We took water from the amazing fizzy spring at Portugos - mixed reviews - I loved it - kids said it 'tasted like old coins smell' - still worth a visit.
Thanks so much to Peter for hosting us and providing a little local context. I hope we will be back to the area again in time!
We hebben hele fijne weken gehad. Huis met veel grond en bomen er omheen. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Heel veel privacy en rust. Peter is een geweldige host.
Very nice villa and pool, in a large garden filled with different fruit trees. It is private, neighbouring houses are a long way away. We didn't have any issues with the road either driving it or walking. Lovely views of the mountains. Thank you Peter, we had a much needed rest and relaxing holiday. Agree with an earlier reviewer, Orgiva has its own vibe. It is very laid back and you can find everything you need.
Lovely place! We stayed here for the first week of our honeymoon and we loved it! Itâs very private and the garden is lovely with lots of fruit trees!
We spent a few days by the pool and visiting nearby villages. Other days we went to Granada, to the Alhambra, went on some lovely hikes close by and just really had a full experience.
Peter was very friendly and helpful. The house has everything you need and thereâs a big shop about 10mins away which also has everything you might need to buy..
We really enjoyed the ârusticâ quality of the property. Access via the narrow road was a challenge, at times, but didnât detract too much from a wonderful break and a good holiday. Thanks very much !
We leave in the morning. Key left as instructed.
The âHole in the Wallâ is a lovely property. The outside porch was excellent to watch the mountains change colour with the time of day.
Location was good once we got the hang of the road to and from the property.
Restaurants/Tapas bars were excellent. Orgiva has its own vibe. It is a working town but has an eclectic range of people, very friendly especially Marioâs for breakfast/brunch (Toastadas).
Easy access to the small villages in the Alpuljarra mountains. Orgivaâs Thursday morning market is a must.
Overall it was a lovely relaxing stay, beautiful surroundings at the property.
El trato recibido por Peter ha sido muy bueno, en todo momento estaba muy pendiente de nosotros, contesta rĂĄpidamente.
El entorno de la casa es excepcional para descansar y desconectar, totalmente recomendable.
Gracias Peter
