Detached eco Cottage, Located on the Grevelingenmeer

Want to enjoy your well-deserved holiday in a very special location? Don't want to compromise on comfort but still want to minimalise your ecological footprint? It's possible in these 4-person beach cottages (tiny houses), situated directly by the Grevelingenmeer at ECO Resort Grevelingenstrand. Hidden in the 9 hectare nature reserve De Kabbelaarsbank, on the border of South Holland and Zeeland.These smoke-free cottages are designed according to unique concept, which is autarkic, bio-based and circular. This means that the cottage is completely self-sufficient and furnished and finished with natural materials. An example: the larch wood was received from Staatsbosbeheer and the cottages are insulated with hemp. It's a so-called Greenhuus; just as durable in design as it is in use.As you can expect from a tiny house, they're furnished is a smart and complete way. They're suitable for four people and consist of two floors. On the ground floor, there's a living room and open plan kitchen with microwave, a bathroom with shower, a separate toilet and a bedroom with a double bed. This bedroom is closed off with a sliding door from the rest of the ground floor. If you're staying with two people, you can turn this into a comfortable sitting area. On the first floor, you'll find an open sleeping loft with two single beds, which could or could not be in a double set-up. This floor can be reached by means of the steep staircase in the living room. Given the space in the beach cottages, it is possible to place one cot. The maximum occupancy of 4 persons may not be exceeded. Thanks to the large glass front, it's nicely bright inside and it's easy to combine the indoors and outdoors. Upon arrival, the beds are made, so your holiday can start right away.The cottages feature a terrace with a view of the Grevelingenmeer. There also is a picnic table and a shaded area with hammock to relax. Each cottage also features a Green Egg bbq, so that you can enjoy a wonderful barbecue together. You can park your car at the central parking area of the resort. Of course, there's free WiFi.This is a pet-free cottage. This means that pets are not allowed.
