Ive stayed in this place before and since then they remodeled. Its absolutely wonderful. We skipped the ouray pool, saved money by just using the hot tubs on-site. The ladies who checked us in were wonderful and fun! Definitely pay the $5 for robes. They are very nice after hot tubbing to wrap around. The breakfast was great; eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, fruit, drinks. I would highly recommend this resort. We did the suite and it was very nice; queen beds, restroom, small fridge, micowave, kuerig coffee pot and pods, and a living room to chill out in. Absolutely wonderful. Thank you!

Perfect in all ways!!

This was a stay for my husband and three friends before a backcountry hut trip. I was waiting for my husband to get back before reviewing. He said it was amazing and he wouldn’t stay anywhere else if he was going to Ouray. The service was great, the hot springs were awesome and it was just the perfect spot.

We really wanted to like this place. The hot springs tubs were good. What was not good was the very thin walls and barking/whining dogs at all hours of the night and morning. We stayed two nights, talked to the staff two different times about the dog issues, and got zero help. We left more exhausted than when we arrived.

We just stayed one night. We enjoyed the hot springs. The mattresses were so very comfortable. There was mold in our bathroom but other than this it was a very nice place to stay if you are in Ouray.

Having been to other hot springs resorts, I was a bit disappointed. These hot springs consist of 7 tubs which fit 4 comfortable and 6 if you like each other. The issue is that when the temperature of the water is too hot, the tub is closed. At one point, only 3 tubs were open for soaking. Also, while other resorts include robes, Box Canyon asks you to rent them. You could avoid this by bringing your own, of course, but my expectation was not having to rent a robe. Go to Ouray for the Ice climbing, hiking and surprisingly good restaurants - that is what I enjoyed the most.

Honest review.

Our room was very spartin. No view, few outlets and charging stations, tiny bath and toilet area. It had hot tubs/steam pools but they were a ways off in the cold, dark and snow. The room right next to ours was nicer. It had a fireplace in it. They billed our card 3 days BEFORE we arrived (I'm used to being billed at checkout). The staff was pleasant. The room was $300 so it could have been a little better, but Ouray is a ritzy mountain tourist location.

Two star hotel stay

One for the bed comfortability and second star for the breakfast, the hot tubs were either broken, too hot or had too many people in it!! And the shower was great til someone below us went to go use their shower then the pressure went way down to nothing.

Amazing experience! Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had several options including making a breakfast burrito. This is just how a hot springs hotel should be in my opinion. Small tubs with amazing scenery, very peaceful, no day pass guests or screaming kids present. We definitely will be staying here from now on when visiting Ouray!

First time in Ouray

Lovely spot since you had access to on site hot spring tubs. Great place to stay with my pup. I was impressed with the free breakfast as well!
