We would have liked to have fresh fruits and vegetables, for example something simple like fresh cucumber or salad greens. Also, the bar did not have all the liqueurs, although we were told that everything was available. In addition, the heating in the room was not working, and the television did not work either. The internet was very poor, even on mobile phones. Another “great” suggestion from them was to offer us a restaurant for the evening, which was supposedly open from, for example, 4:00 to 8:00 pm. However, there was only one person working there, who was the bartender, the waiter, and essentially the entire service staff. This was very strange. Possibly, this is why there were no other guests in the restaurant. Because of this, we had to wait a long time to be served, to receive our food, and even to pay the bill. We would also like to share our opinion regarding the restaurant menu. There were two menu brochures: some items were listed in one, and other items were missing in the other. When we tried to place an order, we were told, “Oh, you took the wrong menu — you were supposed to choose from this one, and there is nothing available to order from the other.” This was how it turned out in the end. Regarding the hot springs, everything itself was wonderful.

Our room was great! It was clean and everyone was friendly! It was a short walk to the hotel's springs and a soak. Check-in was easy and the locker rooms for the springs were spacious and clean and being away from the highway, it was quiet and had wonderful views of the snowy mountains!

We travel to Ouray at least once a year and this was our first time staying at Twin Peaks. I had very high hopes and check-in went well and staff was very pleasant. Our room was very cozy and bed comfortable. I was taken back from a sign lying on the bed advising that if we took their towels we would be charged. There was exactly two of each, bath towel, hand towel and washcloth. With a warning like this, one would expect the towels would be of high quality not worn out, nearly threadbaren rags. Each day it was an adventure trying to exchange the wet used towels for fresh ones. We didn’t require daily housekeeping but did need clean towels and the trash removed (which I bagged up and had at the door each morning). During our six night stay, I killed four roaches, tiny ones but totally disgusting. In addition to everything listed, a leak from the room above us started dripping down through the smoke alarm causing it to go off. I called the front desk, left a message, waited, called back and was on hold for 20 minutes. ( yes all the while the alarm ringing) Maintenance came and removed the smoke alarm and stated it was housekeeping pouring water all over the floor above that was causing the leak and they should be finished soon. He moved the trashcan and placed a towel down to soak up any additional water. The smoke alarm was never replaced during our stay. The gourmet breakfast, that was included, was always cold even when arriving at 7:00 am.
