The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was decorated in an antique style. A full breakfast was served on the weekend and continental during the week.
We arrived to find the dining room closed, all but one of the staff "fired", and the hotel ready to close because of a new owner. My wife called it the "haunted house" because we were alone in a third floor walkup room. Breakfast was not available, and we should receive a credit for that . The hotel apparently closed when we left with absolutely no employees on the scene. (Left keys in the room with door open.)
Beautiful Inn with friendly staff, a comfortable retreat for my husband and I looking for a wonderful respite. Not to be outdone, Breakfast was superb. You will not disappoint.
I like the location in quaint Oxford. Close enough to Cambridge, Easton, and Blackwater Wildlife Refuge. The food at its restaurant is excellent, both breakfast and dinner.
The Oxford Inn isn't the fanciest place my wife and I have stayed, but that's part of its charm. It's an old school inn that's clean, comfortable, affordable and located in a lovely little town. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. And the onsite restaurant was off-the-charts delicious. We definitely will be going back.
