48@Baristo is a private gated community just minutes from downtown Palm Springs. This Townhome (with included guesthouse) SLEEPS 10, is sleek and modern, with a hint of mid-century modern. This fully furnished home away from home has 2 Bedrooms and 2.5 baths (one has a tub) an 50 foot ceilings! One queen bed in each bedroom, with their own bathrooms. Additionally each bedroom has its own ROKU TV. This home has its own pool, jacuzzi, and washer/dryer. One indoor parking space is included and theres plentiful street parking.

The Guest House makes a perfect place for the in laws or the kids, with its own King Bed upstairs, AND a full bed downstairs. For added last minute guests, theres a pullout leather sofa below. It also includes a full bathroom, fridge and TV of its own (just no stove).

A short block away is the PS Public Library, Ralphs Supermarket, Subway and Starbucks, or walk into downtown Palm Springs in about 15 minutes, or by guest bicycles in about 5 min. In downtown palm Springs theres a plethora of shops, dining and nightlife.

The main townhouse has 2 queen beds, and a very large L shaped sofa. The guess house has 1 King, 1 Full, and a pullout. Small discount if you'd like one or the other separately.

Nice walk into town

Comfortable accommodations. The one-shot staircase to the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are located could be hard on some older residents. One bedroom is open to the living room: people who want darkness and privacy are somewhat compromised there. Kevin was very responsive to our needs even though it was a holiday week. I would stay again!

Baristo Condo

The only items at less than 5 stars - cleanliness and maintenance - are already being addressed as I write this review. Kevin is an amazing host - very responsive and accommodating. When there was a mechanical issue with the hot tub, it was immediately addressed and he offered us extra days free of charge to make up for the "inconvenience." The casita was a wonderful bonus, giving our guests nice privacy when desired. The location can't be beat - one block to the library and only two blocks to a large grocery, Starbucks and restaurants. Downtown Palm Springs is an easy mile walk away. The property and deck furniture could have used some TLC, but I believe that was due in part to a very quick turnaround between the previous, maybe not particularly careful, long-term tenant and us. Kevin and I talked about how to make the unit even more welcoming and, even before we left, he had painters lined up to start. He's definitely a "get it done" kind of guy! We look forward to staying at Kevin's Baristo Condo again.

Great desert location to vacation for a little while or longer

The house offers a great vacation layout for friends and family. Wide open spaces indoors and a cozy enclosed pool and patio compound for intimate outdoor dining and swimming. Lofted guested house gives kids a safe space of their own with no direct access to non-private areas!

Property was as expected and I would stay here again

Kevin was super easy to deal with. We had a hard time finding a house for our vacation and he was our saving grace. He let us check in early because everyone in our group was flying in from different places at different times. Upon arrival, he was very thorough on how everything in the house worked and how close everything was (grocery, coffee, restaurants) to make us really feel at home. Everything was less than 5 minutes away, even the airport. The house had more than enough room for all of us. The main house had everything we needed but food obviously and our over flow of guests felt just as homey in the guest house as they did in the main house. We didn’t have to buy anything extra for our stay which was great, as we typically do. We spent a lot time in the pool and hot tub. It did get a little dirty because it was windy when we stayed but a pool maintenance man did come by and clean everything up. I asked last minute (literally the day before or day of) if he had a grill because we had a tradition of grilling steaks on the first night of all our trips. Unfortunately, he didn’t but instead bought us a small portable grill that we could use while we stayed. He didn’t have to do that but we were very impressed at how he went above and beyond to keep our tradition going. The one thing we did have trouble with was the garage. Because his house is the first one after the entrance, the angle to get into the 2 car garage was a little tough with one car already in there. Also, we had a van, which made it even tougher and ended up scratching our rental. However, it wasn’t really a big deal since there was plenty of guest parking and street parking very, very, very near by so we just used those instead. Kevin is definitely more of a phone communicator than an email communicator, which was a different experience than I’m used to. It felt a bit more personal like I was staying at a family friends house and they were making sure I had everything I needed rather than just renting a random persons house. It didn’t bother me but I’m sure it’s a personal preference and Kevin would be accommodating either way. We will definitely be back soon. Kevin is amazing and you’ll love this lovely, modern home away from home.

Lovely Place

We spent 4 nights here the end of April with the rest of our family. The place looks just like the pictures. Its an end unit with extra parking on the street. Its an easy 1.2 mile walk to downtown. Only a few blocks to Starbucks, Ralphs and CVS. There are several family owned restaurants on Sunrise. We tried two , Italian and Indian. Both were good. Since it was 90 and sunny we made good use of the pool. Would stay here again.
