The property is beautiful and well maintained, and the company is proactive and highly responsive to communications if/when questions come up. Highly recommended!!
Pros:The house is right on the beach with truly stunning views. The layout is fantastic for multiple families â very spacious and well-designed. The master suite is upstairs, and there are two bedrooms downstairs, each with their own bathrooms, plus a second kitchen, living area, and double washer/dryer. On the main level, there are two full bathrooms, one bedroom, and a bunk room. The space was a major highlight and made the stay comfortable for a large group.Cons:Check-in was difficult â the door code did not work, and customer service was rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately, the house is in poor condition. The floors are coming up, paint is chipped, furniture is damaged, and everything feels worn and neglected. The kitchen had no basic spices at all, which was surprising for a rental of this size. The pool also needs repairs, and overall, the property was not clean upon arrival. With some updates and better customer service, this could be an incredible rental. The location is unbeatable, but the home needs significant attention.
Location was great and convenient to everything. Pool was dirty after day 1 due to a storm that rolled through but the management company had it cleaned for us earlier than the scheduled cleaning date which was much appreciated. There is a public beach access directly next to the house which caused the beach area to be busier than we would have liked. First impressions house was clean, but after we settled we noticed several areas that need attention. The house is not maintained very well regarding cosmetic repairs that need done. And repairs that have been made are not up to par. Based on the cost to rent the house and the higher end area it is in, we were disappointed in what we got. The location on 30A and the management company, Benchmark, were two positives. We enjoyed our vacation but would have appreciated a better maintained rental.
Check in was very easy. The house was perfect for our family of 8. The kitchen was very well appointed. The bedrooms were all comfortable, and the views from the decks were spectacular. The location was ideal. We were close to great restaurants and the Publix was only a few minutes away. The beach was not crowded and having the chair service was a real bonus. The management company was very responsive when we had an issue with the air conditioner and sent someone right away. The only negative would be the number is stairs to the beach for anyone with mobility issues. The walking/biking path is directly in front of the house. A great place!
Lovely On-The-Water oceanfront 5 Bedroom 5 Bath with Private Pool
We loved the location. It is really 3 semi-private levels. 2 kitchens and decks off of each level were a bonus.Itâs worth the cost of heating the pool for marginal spring days. And, the convenience of our own beach access plus beach chairs and umbrellas included and automatically set up were great.
I loved it but if you have a sensitive nose you are not going to be happy
i loved it very much. stocked well. beautiful. functional. close to the beach. pool. but there is a leak somewhere in the upstairs that was fresh and flowing. the smell caused me to feel ill it was so strong. it was constant. it was actually kind of horrible. soooo if you are sensitive in the ENT to mold, mildew or damp smell this is not the place for you. i really wish i didn't have to type this last part.
A bit older home but reasonably well kept. Had a couple of issues that were remedied quickly by management. Located on a GREAT place on the beach. Amenities were excellent and the separate living areas were well thought out and fit our family perfectly.
We really enjoyed our stay in The Mirage. Prepping food for our Thanksgiving feast was easy with the 2 kitchens.
The view of the Gulf was gorgeous and made food prepping extra enjoyable. There were more supplies in the kitchen than are listed on the website, such as: a small crock pot, toaster, a chopper, full size coffee pots in both kitchens, and other things I cannot recall.
It was a dream come true for me to have all my family under one roof. The Mirage accommodated all 4 families nicely!â€ïžđ
We enjoyed being able to walk out the back door, down to our private beach with our chairs & umbrellas waiting for us.
Beautiful sunrises and sunsets!
We will definitely be coming back and staying at The Mirage!!
Fantastic location, near shopping and great restaurants. The pool could use some maintenance (heater not great) and updating, but being able to walk right out onto the beach is so worth it. The house was clean and well furnished and easily accommodated our family of 10 adults.
Great home for our family of 9; 3 levels with lowest level being a small stand alone 2 BR/2bath apartment. Middle floor has main kitchen and living, 2BR/2Baths, and 3rd floor is Master suite with private balcony. Hereâs my PRO/CON listâŠPROS: spacious, beautiful, right on beach, nice views, clean, not sure about all TVs but main living tv had some live streaming networks and MBR had ability to log into personal streaming accounts, well stocked kitchen (see CON list), some beach items for use. CONS: 1. there was public walking access to the beach between this house and the one next door, so lots of foot traffic-no cars or parking lot. I believe itâs used for those who are staying in locations across the street. The only issue this truly makes for the house is busyness at the beach right in front of The Mirage. No one wants to lug all their stuff very far, so as soon as people get off the public access they are looking for a spot to be; so the beach right in front of the house was very busy each day (and we werenât there at the busiest season); 2. The pool got really dirty after a storm and there wasnât a polaris for cleaning dirt from the bottom, so we didnât use the pool after the first day. 3. this really shouldnât be an issue with a top-dollar per week home (and management should listen bc Iâm not the first or even second to say it) towelsâŠBenchmark says that their policy is to leave every guest 1 towel and 1 washcloth (which is fine if thatâs how they want to do their business but itâs definitely not a gracious policy), however several in our party were NOT given a washcloth and the baby was not even given a towel. We also had no kitchen towels in the main kitchen.
Those are my only real cons. No house is perfect-especially one that lots of different people live in. When we left, the management team asked online if there was anything that needed repairing before the next guest arrived-which there were a couple of minor things. I appreciated that, because there is no way for them to know without living there themselves or being told.

We had a great stay here!
We had a great stay at the Mirage. The pool and being right on the beach were perfect for our family trip. The kids went back and forth all day!
As other reviews have stated, there are a few general maintenance issues that need to be addressed like the water stains on the ceiling in the downstairs bedroom, but overall the house is clean.
The layout was perfect for our group of 11 and everyone had plenty of space! The location was also great being in close proximity to The Hub, Alys Beach, and Rosemary Beach.
I would definitely recommend this house!
Our family of 9 people (7 adults and 2 kids) had a great time at The Mirage! Everything in the house worked as expected, the amount of rooms and living spaces were perfect for our large group. The kids bunk room was nice and big and a great place for the kids to hangout as well as sleep! I also enjoyed the room on the top level that had its own balcony-it was super special! We had the pool heated which was wonderful! The kids swam everyday even when it was 55 degrees đ±. One of our highlights included renting bikes and being close enough to bike to Alys/Rosemary and also The Hub. Being right in the beach also was a huge plus! 30A can get in this location and we loved not having to walk across the street. Another big thing for our group was the access to two washers and dryers especially for all of our towels! We would happily stay at the Mirage another time.
We are waiting to see how the owners respond to renting the house knowing that both washing machines are still not working. We had a 4 week old and two 14 month olds and not happy to have to take time away daily to run to a laundry mat. Also after requesting and paying for the pool to be heated they did not verify that it was in working order until Saturday afternoon on our check in day. Of course it needed repairing, which was done and we were able to swim by Wednesday.
Excellent location and home. Clean and ideal for a family. The pool is so nice to come back to after a day at the beach. The home does need a few improvements- especially before another Hurricane. We had water coming in from the windows and roof.
Lost one bedroom due to the leaking so that was inconvenient. The Management company was very responsive in bringing us towels to clean up
Mirage is prettier than the pictures. It was perfect for three generations of family. Benchmark management was very nice to work with. Always answered my text questions promptly and sent out maintenance quickly for what was a very minor problem. You canât go wrong with Mirage or Benchmark.
