Beautiful condo close to a pool

The Westgate lodge has the best customer service! This condo is so close to a pool and it quickly became our favorite thing about where our condo was located! Wonderful vacation. Will be renting the same condo again next summer

Pleasant stay, odd building configuration

Very nice, clean, updated, comfortable room.Building configuration is unique with different needs on different floors and/locations, but after a few walking arounds was quickly figured out.The only drawback, based solely on the individual unit location, was the buildings trash compactor that would run occasionally until, at the latest, 10:45 p.m. and sounded like there was construction going on - but overall a nice stay, convenient location for skiing, and friendly staff.

Great location

The Westgate property is lovely and super convenient at the base of the Canyons mountain. It has many amenities that make a great ski holiday. Just beware that the pullout sofa in the living room is a full size, not a queen as advertised. My two teens were squished in which wasn’t great for five nights. Also the kitchen is not well appointed (3 pots, one fry pan, limited cooking utensils) so difficult to make more than one or two dishes at a time. Not the “gourmet kitchen” that is advertised. Recommend the Westgate, but don’t recommend this one-bedroom condo for more than 3 people or if you are serious about cooking dinner at night.

Disappointing and not up to standard for the price

The check-in is at 4:00 pm. which is a little late to begin with, and then the line was out the door, with only two employees working. Staff is hard to come by these days. The gentleman who eventually assisted with my check-in did not seem to have a firm grip on the process. Perhaps it was his first day. The room itself looked nice and clean and was well stocked with kitchen items. The location (not disclosed in the listing) was disappointing as it was directly over the dumpster and adjacent to the giant HVAC rooms, which meant very loud whirring noises all night long. I found it difficult to get to sleep/remain asleep. In the morning, I chose to have a relaxing soak in the slipper tub. Very nice! Until at 9:23 Housekeeping entered. I had arranged for late check-out at 11:00, but even regular check-out is at 10:00 so I'm not sure what H'keeping was doing barging in before 9:30. I'd not have mentioned the other issues, but that was the last straw When my host asked if I enjoyed my stay, I was honest, as above. Host asked if there was anything they could do to make it right. Since I was not staying another night, I suggested a credit of some sort. To which they replied, "all of the issues you describe are the Wyndham's problems, not ours, so we can't do anything for you." This is funny because It was they who asked me what they could do! So I asked that - what was it that you were going to offer to do when you asked if you could make it right? To which there was no response.

Excellent Property/Location!

This was an excellent property! It was a little confusing at the beginning because it did not appear the same as advertised, but quickly realized the property was recently renovated. The highlight was the convenience for all the amenities within the resort. We had complimentary shuttle to various locations, ski valet services, and a locker room for ski boots and other equipment. Also, the property management company did a wonderfully job in communication. I highly recommend this VRBO if you love to ski!

Nice Enough

Overall we had a wonderful time/experience at the Westgate Resort. There is a lot of construction going on, I'm not sure if that contributed to the dust in our room or not but it was kind of gross. Our place was basically spotless and appeared very clean. But every table/countertop had enough dust on it to where you could draw in it with your finger. The Resort itself has a lot of nice amenities but it will take you a day or two to figure out how to get around. It's like a maze inside having to get on and off separate elevators to get around different parts of the resort. We didn't have any kids but I can see where this would be a wonderful resort for children, plenty for them to do as well as adults. One thing I do wish is that there was a little better explanation of the type of ski slopes outside the resort. My wife and I are both beginner skiers so we had to drive about 10 minutes every time we wanted to get on a green slope instead of the blue. Again, overall a good experience, just a few things I would change.

Amazing experience

We hadn’t been to the Canyons before and this unit at Westgate was so convenient right in the village. Westgate provided locker room for boots and the ski service had our skis at the bottom of the mountain each day! We also used ski butlers that you all recommended and they delivered all of the equipment and picked it up! We used all of the amenities, restaurants and market. We will definitely be back!

Excellent vacation rental

We stayed at the condo in early March and found it to be exactly as described. The condo was the perfect size for 2 adults (and maybe a child). We would definitely stay here again and we do recommend this unit. Pros: Westgate offers many wonderful amenities such as: - adult pool/hot tub - gear valet (a treat to not have to carry gear to/from condo every morning!) - on-demand shuttle service to take you around town Steam shower in the unit (great to warm up after a day on the slopes!) Full size kitchen No need for a car- easy to uber to/from airport and around town Comfortable bed/bedding Edge Steakhouse - a luxurious splurge meal! Murdock's- fast casual dining - good spot for breakfast and pizza The Farm - a step up from casual dining - great if you are looking for something nicer than Drafts Other considerations (outside of the owner's control): - Park City Mountain Resort is suffering (as of March 2022) from staff shortages, resulting in lifts/runs being closed. It also requires creative planning for meals on the mountain. -Drafts is the casual dining option in the Westgate and they are (as of March 2022) severely understaffed. Prepare for long waits. -Marketplace - small grocery store at the Westgate- very limited stock - if you plan to cook in the condo, you should plan to use the shuttle to go grocery shopping.
