I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for a week and wanted to share my experiences. Upon check-in, we were informed that the carpets were being steam cleaned, leaving them damp. This required a trip to Walmart for house shoes to keep our socks dry. Unfortunately, the carpets remained wet for several days, leading us to request a floor fan for drying.
Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with various options, including a great coffee machine and hot chocolate. Special thanks to Vicki, who greeted us warmly each morning!
Our room featured full-sized Dove toiletries—shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion—which enhanced our comfort. The amenities, including a hairdryer, fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker, were much appreciated.
However, we encountered a major issue when, on the fourth night, a noisy family was placed above us despite available rooms. Although we reported the noise, the only solution offered was to move to another room, disregarding the fact that we had settled in for four days. The heavy footsteps and children running around late into the evening were quite disruptive, prompting our eventual decision to switch rooms around 10 PM.
On a positive note, the hotel had a pool and hot tub for relaxation. In conclusion, despite the challenges with the carpets and noise issues, the Holiday Inn Express provides a solid experience with some room for improvement in guest placement.
