additional charge very expensive.

I made 2 booking on NOV 2023. I am not aware the addition person charge very expensive. First booking I fill 2 person n actually 3person stay in villas. So I pay 1 person's subcharge. At that time I call hotel.com try to make correction on second stay from 1 to 5 person. But get advice no right to change n told me direct make change with villas owner. I call vallas owner but get reply I shoud may change with hotel.com. So I give up this 4days stay n rent another hotel. I rent another 2 hotel rooms cost still cheaper than the vallas additional charge. This is the worse experience on my past few years booking at hotel.com。 The villas also have a subcharge on checkin after 17:00 n checkout before 9:00. I never see any hotel /villas have insist on this rule.
