Well located villa and excellent local management support

In more than ten years of villas in Coral Bay, we always expect to find a few things that need fixing and invariably most of them are not quickly resolved – if at all – by the local management company. Anastasia was so different. Tasos – who organises the cleaners, the pool maintenance guy and sorts out guests’ problems, was superb! He was friendly and efficient – popping round with a screw driver to tighten a frying pan handle, replacing a once non-stick saucepan with a brand new one, finding a plug-in box for the TV to receive all the UK channels we wanted, and so on. The villa itself is ideally located in walking distance of the beach, restaurants and the enormous Philippos supermarket. The balcony gives a wonderful view of the October sunsets. When we arrived the villa and pool were spotless and the layout gives amble space for sunbeds anywhere round the pool. The 3 bedrooms all have loads of storage space. On the down side, there are only two parasols for the six aging sunbeds and the crockery and cutlery were only just sufficient for 2 people in a villa that is supposed to accommodate six. We regularly had to get things out of the dishwasher and wash them up. We also purchased several extra glasses. It’s also the first villa we can remember that didn’t offer a welcome pack. In fact the cupboards were all but bare. There was washing up liquid and soap, but we had to buy salt and pepper.

Burglary

Nice villa near to the main strip. A burglar broke into the villa during the night as one guest had left their wallet on display in the kitchen. The way they got in (and have got in before - and in my opinion will again) is via the downstairs toilet window. The mechanism on this window is broken and can be easily forced open. The Police visited and explained that burglaries are rife in this area. Quad Bike hire is popular in this resort - There is a strip of land behind the villa that seemed to be a magnet for the bikers, and it felt like we were in the middle of a racing circuit. Nice pool.
