Penny Shack: sweet KI cottage with sea views
âPenny Shackâ: A beautiful seaside shack in the historical town of Penneshaw.
Curated by Fresh House Co, Penny Shack is the ideal location for a seaside holiday with style in a relaxed, uniquely Australian setting.
Enjoy total privacy, aside from the abundance of native Australian wildlife on your doorstep. Inside, Penny Shack features mid century touches with contemporary finishes.
Outside, soak up the epic landscape from your private timber deck.
Watch the whales, dolphins and blue wrens flirt with you as you sip your wine and reset on Pennys deck.
Our kitchen is fully equipped for budding chefs to cook up culinary delights, or perhaps fry up fish and squid straight from the ocean.

Or hire a car on the island. Or fly the short 20 minute flight from Adelaide airport to Parndana Airport. Travelling to the Island is simple, efficient and relaxed.
The perfect beach house - I could spend all day sitting on the deck watching the bees & the small birds in the lavender & of course the magnificent view of the bay. Penny Shack is a short walk to the main street & the beach. The hosts have styled the house beautifully & didn't forget to provide plenty of useful items (dishwasher tablets, washing powder, dishwashing liquid, etc). I hope to return
Penny Shack was spotless and very comfy with everything you need. Great position overlooking the ocean onto the mainland - walking distance to the beautiful beach. We thoroughly recommend staying here.
Comfortable and well equipped cottage.
Next time, Iâd stay a couple of nights in Penneshaw and a couple at Flinders Chase NP area due to long distances to drive to and fro the amazing southern ocean etc.
Great location and views.Beautifully styled cottage.Description included dryer which was not supplied. BBQ covered in cobwebs, rusty and disgusting. Other smaller things like smoke detector left open without battery, exposed light switch in bathroom, broken kitchen bin and broken blind. These things have been brought to the owners attention, and they said they would attend to them.Back garden is not fenced and not in good condition. The cottage has some other functional problems (rug interfering with bedroom door closing, shower shelf set too high, 'Penny Shack' sign set low - so be careful not to hit your head on it (we did 3 times).Despite all these negatives, the place is comfortable, clean, well presented and has a great outlook.
