This house provides a well equipped central holiday base from which to explore the lakes and fells. Ullswater is just a short drive away where, during the summer months, you can take the Lake Steamer from Glenridding to Howtown and Pooley Bridge. Ambleside is 6 miles away and has a pretty town centre with shops, galleries and tea rooms. Also within easy reach is Lake Windermere 15 miles, Derwenwater and Keswick similar.
