New Ing Lodge is the perfect location for a group of family or friends looking for a quiet escape. Perched on the Eastern edge of the English Lake District we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and have easy access to prime locations such as Ullswater, Windermere and Keswick.

Sleeping up to 30 people, the House has 11 bedrooms each with their own bathroom (7 are en-suite, 4 have external bathrooms). As well as eleven bedrooms and eleven bathrooms we have a comfortable living room with a wood burning stove, a dining room which can comfortably sit 24, and a large kitchen with a 5 ring gas hob, two fan assisted ovens and plenty of fridge space as well as seating for 6. When you take exclusive use of New Ing Lodge, you have access to our bar, which we can stock for you if required with a hand pulled local real ale and/or pilsner lager.

There is a large garden at the rear of the building which includes a children's play park, fire pit seating area and a 10 person sauna in the garden (we just ask you to bring separate beach towels for this as we do not allow use of our white bath towels outside.) We also have safe, off road parking for around 10 vehicles. Please note that we are located in a rural village with residential neighbors nearby, therefore we do not allow exceptionally loud 'party' music in or outside the building. All music to be kept to a reasonable level and be turned down to a gentle background level after 11pm inside and off completely outside.
The property is heated by a state of the art Austrian boiler and plenty of logs are provided for the wood burner in the lounge to ensure you will be toasty and warm throughout your stay. There's free wifi throughout the building.

New Ing Lodge is located in Shap, only a short drive away from the Lake District National Park, the Howgills and the Western Pennines. Shap Village has a large playing field, large children's play area, multi-use games area and outdoor gym. There is also an open air swimming pool that's open from June to September and is open for general use as well as exclusive hire.
The village also has a Co-Op which is open 7am-10pm, 7 days a week, an award winning fish & chip shop, cafe and three pubs, which are all within easy walking distance.
