Nestled in the woods just nine minutes inland from historic Annapolis Royal sits a quiet sanctuary getaway surrounded by everything in nature finished with natural modern interior flares yet rustic exterior appeals.
Come cozy up with the beautifully intense peeper frogs under the stars by one of our two exterior fire pits, gas or wood, which ever you prefer. If choosing wood do pick some up on your way, so long as fire bans are not in effect. On-site wood is the owners winter heat source being seasoned.
The house comes with main private entry with key lockbox (code given at time of booking), 1300sq foot guest usable interior area, two queen memory foam mattresses on lower profile beds, 52” smart TV, full bathroom with bathtub/shower, washer, dryer, kettle, toaster, coffee press, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, dining room seating for six as well as over sized sofa that can sleep two. Cell phone reception in the area is limited, though Starlink internet is on site for all your high speed wifi needs.
The house is on well and septic with water treatment is in house, water is drinkable but if you so choose, feel free to bring your own drinking water.
In the warmer months just a short 14 minute drive down the gravel roads will lead you to the natural spring fed Gibson’s lake, a little hidden gem you won’t want to miss on those hot sunny days. Directions will be left in house for your convenience.
The area is surrounded by nature making it great for walking, biking as well as ATVing if you have one. There are many lakes in and around for fishing if this is of your passions.
This is my primary residence so I will be present at times on occasion maintaining the yard. Generally away when people are staying but if I do stay, I use my suite on the side of the house. The side suite has been sound proofed with SONOpan sheets as well as Roxul Insulation on interior walls. That being said, soundproofing is never 100% so everyday living sounds in and around will still be heard, just at a substantially lesser degree.
Just a little reminder: don’t forget to stop and smell the lupins! Nova Scotia hosts roadways upon roadways of these fragrant flowers making each and every road you drive down feel and smell like you are in the tropics.
