The host was very communicative and nice. All of my questions were answered in a timely fashion and when I had an issue with the lock she walked me through as well as the heat. I would definitely stay there again.
Wow just wow. We walked into the property and the smoke detector battery was going off and the heat was off in February in Philadelphia. The maintenance man who came over in the morning to fix the smoke detector and heat, could not figure out the heat issue either, so he provided us with a heater while they had a tech come out to fix the issue. The host refused to respond to a phone call only text message. I called multiple times with a response of in a meeting, I'll call you later. No phone call ever occurred. At 9pm the next evening the host texted me and quote "my understanding is that you were using AC and unfortunately that service call cost me." Which isn't the case, considering the initial maintenance, who was great, was not able to figure out the issue either. The host gave no apology for a smoke alarm going off all night or a lack of heat in February in Philadelphia.
It was mostly a good stay. I came to town for a conference and this was only a couple miles from the conference venue and much cheaper than staying downtown. The pros: free WiFi, streaming available on the tv, towels and soap provided, plenty of space. The cons: you have to push really hard on the smart lock buttons or youâll keep putting the code in over and over without it opening and itâs noisy. The walls were thin so I could hear the people in the next unit on the phone very early in the morning and I could hear their kid making noise when I wanted to be asleep.
Called the property owner several times for questions but did not pick up. Neighborhood seems unsafe. There are two rooms first floor and second floor. I booked one in second floor. There was zero sound proof. A guy was on a phone call in first floor and I could hear everything from the bathroom second floor. I left the place and booked different hotel.
This âgemâ has a very eerie feeling to it. Needs to be priced lower in my opinion. If I could compare to a hotel it would definitely be Motel 6. Good for quick come and go.. Hard uncomfortable bed, Flat pillows, dirty backyard and overgrown trees scratching on the kitchen window (which was scary at night), creepy neighbors, and you can hear everything thatâs going on in the apartment upstairs. Also thereâs mold on the wall near the bathroom and the decor (if thatâs what you call it) gives consignment, left over, thrown together. I donât mean to be harsh but I was very dissatisfied. This is not a gem but strictly a place to sleep. As the guest If I could give a recommendation to the property owner it would be to put more effort, and thoughtfulness into your property. Make it comfortable simple things like a nice matching bed set and pillows. Proper wash clothes and towels. Not hard dish rags and paper thin bathtowels.
I do not know Philly. We were there for a concert. The neighborhood was scary wouldnât walk around it in daylight. Room needs a lot of work. Broken tilt in bathroom. Do not recommend this place. Just looks like a ghetto studio apartment. Mattress was like a board and the pillows were nonexistent
It was scary to be there. Nothing around no warning in how dangerous it is to walk around that area at night or in general. Sat in the porch and someone was watching. The guy who rented the other room said the same thing
Great space for 1-2 people. Walls are a bit thin and can hear everything in the room next door. I do wish there was a coffee pot. Would have given 5âs across the board if there was. Overall nice place. Iâd stay again.
If there is a coffee pot.
