This hotel was very old, very basic and very expensive for what you got. There was no safe, which was surprising. The location was about a 10 min walk from the old town. The staff were great although there was very little English spoken, if there was something going on in the town, theyd point it put on a map for us. Pool looked nice, sadly didnt get to try it.

Ideal location in central phuket, close to all services & restaurants. Staff very nice & there's a pool. However, the property needs a BIG refresh. And the internet is VERY bad. I had to use my hotspot to send a few emails. So, if you just stay a couple of nights and you don't need internet, that's fine. More than that, i am sure there are plenty of other better options.

Old Thai traditional hotel

Staff were excellent and most friendly and helpful. Hotel is very old with a very small outdated bathroom, no luggage rack, no hairdryer (you must ask for one), no restaurant or bar. Rooms are large and there is a nice e outdoor pool. Location is convenient but this seems more like a 2 star.

Was pleasantly suprised by this hotel and sad it was just for an overnighter. I picked it because it was cheap and close to Rassada and I had an early ferry to catch, upon check in I immediately regretted not staying at least two nights, the room is lovely, the pool was amazing, location was very walkable and clean and staff were so friendly. I will definitely be back.

We booked a pool access room which we enjoyed. The trade off is pool cleaners and pool users passing by directly outside the room. We reckoned it was a lot better than having to traipse to the pool. Staff were great. Room a good size and aircon worked as it should. Short walk to Old Town and to Limelight shopping mall and 7/11. Plenty of taxis around. A good base for us

Great Location

The hotel staff is wonderful. The area is quiet. It is really close to a food court, Tops and night market. There is also a nice park. It may be a little older and the mattress is hard, but we would stay there again. Loved it!

The location is great. The staff are very friendly and the pools is super clean and quiet. The only draw back was my back every morning on that mattress... we left and earlier and received a refund for the rest of our booking.( I would prefer a full refund but partial is better than nothing)

The property is clean and well kept. The bedding was comfortable, location was good, pool was enjoyable and the staff at the front desk are lovely. I’d definitely recommend staying at this hotel when visiting Phuket Town.

The family suite that we had booked was comfortable and the staff very pleasant and responsive to our needs. Some of the furnishings and equipment was however a bit dated. As we had booked during peak season the prices were exceptionally high even though it seemed the hotel was not full. So my advice to others would be to shop around and not necessarily believe the hotel.com website when it suggests that there are very few rooms available which is a tactic to make you book immediately and pay much higher prices than you need to. Anyway I have learned my lesson!

Best value in Phuket Town

The Mei Zhou Phuket hotel is perfect for a short stay in old town Phuket. It is in a quiet area, surrounded by convenient stores, food courts and local restaurants, and a 10-minute walk to the main old town streets. Check-in process is quick and simple, reception staff (both day and night shifts) is SO friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about "what to do and see" and always takes extra steps to take care of you. Wi-fi is fast and stable. The room is big, clean, and comfortable. The only thing we did not try is breakfast so we can't comment on that.

A charming hotel in Phuket Town

Staff were very helpful and pleasant at all times. The pool was very well-kept and had a jacuzzi at one end. Our executive room had a patio door that opened onto the pool-side and we always had the pool to ourselves. The hotel has many delightful features including a large pond of Koi carp and many orchids. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the centre of Phuket Town and the limelight shopping mall with many cafes and restaurants. I would certainly return.
