Our stay was unfortunately disappointing due to several issues we experienced. My parents had to get their room key reprogrammed almost every night because their door wouldn’t unlock properly. They also encountered problems with the elevator during our stay.
One night, we woke up to find there was no running water, and the lights in our room kept flickering — which was both inconvenient and concerning.
Additionally, I’d like to address an interaction regarding the pet fee. I understand and fully respect that the hotel has a pet policy and related fees. However, the manner in which it was brought to our attention was unnecessarily indirect and unprofessional. A polite and straightforward explanation would have been much more appropriate. We were in town for a family member’s one-year memorial, having driven in from Dallas, and intended to update our dog’s vaccination paperwork promptly.
Lastly, if the hotel expects guests with pets to follow certain cleanliness standards, it would be helpful to provide a designated area for pets. Suggesting that I bring my own area for my dog was unnecessary and inappropriate.
Overall, while we appreciate the location and purpose of our visit, the repeated inconveniences and lack of professionalism from certain staff members left a negative impression on our stay.
