Not every walkout has a view.

I chose the deluxe 2-queen walk through room at this "riverfront" hotel because in the photo there appeared to be patio furniture outside the other door suggesting a sitting area. In other photos of the hotel there are chairs and fire tables outside so I opted for this property vs a room elsewhere with a king bed believing we would be able to relax outdoors presumably with view of the river. Unfortunately our second door led straight to the parking lot. The only view we had of the river was across the street, past the school, down a couple of blocks. The bed was comfortable and the staff was pleasant but don't make assumptions about what's outside your walkout. 😉

There was no one at the front desk. I said loudly, “Hello?” and no one came. So I sat down and waited. About 10 minutes later, the front desk phone rang. After several rings, a young woman emerged from the back. When she finished the call, she started to return to the back. I called out, “Excuse me. I’d like to check in.” So that’s how the visit started… The good news is that the room (suite!) itself is terrific. A true suite and spotless. I was very happy with the room. The area around the hotel is strange — hard to describe, but it gives off a weird vibe. Not a pretty part of town.

upon arrival saw a message saying the pool was not working or out of service. This was the whole reason for staying here they need to have updates on there web site. the shower was lukewarm did not get hot at all. there was no bodywash in the shower the dispenser was empty.

Freezing pool water, okay rooms with comfortable b

Pool is only a play area for kids but it was freezing cold. Also seemed a lot of kids using the pol weren't staying there. We booked a suite and the extra room was nice but poor layout. Could only access bathroom through the bedroom. Breakfast was good. The attached Italian restaurant has good pizza but the pasta is not good.

There was a hidden fee I was charged after I left. They said it's an amenities fee. The lady said it's a cleaning/maintenance fee. I said do you charge for cleaning after I someone leaves? She said no. I said I didn't break anything. And she said everyone is charged an amenities fee. Side note: I didn't trash the room. I'm a very clean person and I don't like messes. So I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The attached restaurant is convenient. The bed was nice and the room was clean. Everything worked well. The wifi was slow and one of the bath outlets did not work. Nice stay.
