Given the price, its an amazing view and location.Given the online images, we were disappointed by the view.Clean linens, working AC, comfy couches, neat bathrooms, no complaints.Oh! Speaking of bathrooms, the upstairs bathroom door can't close or lock, the handle is misaligned.
We had a good stay here. The owner was very responsive and very helpful. The location is great. Safe area and a handful of nice restaurants to walk to. The beds were comfortable. We had street parking right in front. The listing says 3 bathrooms and there are only 2. Itâs an older place, so a little worn down, but it has character. The spiral staircase can be tricky with luggage, so only rent this place if you are nimble. We liked it, and would come back!
This 2-story apartment was one of the largest places we've rented in Mt. Washington at such a great rate! Plenty of room for everyone in the living, dining, and bedrooms, complete with a full bathroom on both levels. One block from bars and restaurants on Shiloh and the Monongahela Incline to Station Square. Holly replied super fast to every question I had before, during and after our stay. Parking was tight and you would have to use the exterior stairs in the hallway to the second floor if you are uncomfortable with the narrow spiral staircase but neither of these things were a problem for us. We would definitely stay here again!
Two couples dropped into the 90's to see Green Day and The Smashing Pumpkins. Great location !! Great neighborhood to walk around, see the sights, enjoy a few pubs and eateries. Would absolutely stay here again. The rental very accommodating for 4 adults.Joe G
The views are terrific - great for picture taking.Nice restaurants close by.Parking is a bit of a pain if you have more than 1 car (not that that is the VRBO property owners fault.)Spiral steps are tricky - not great if you are bringing kids or elderly.Sheets on my bed were fine. The other 2 beds, they kept slipping off the mattress, almost like they were too small. We'd definitely go back.
We were in town for the Steelers/Bengals game. Great location for getting an Uber to and from the stadium. Plenty of places to eat and have a couple drinks within walking distance. Apartment was as expected and the host communicated before and during the trip to make sure we had everything we needed.
Just one street back from the incline. Beautiful views of the city from the apartment. The condo was clean, but this is an old apartment that has not been updated. So just be aware. The pictures are accurate. The beds were comfortable, but I think the previous rented cooked curry- which I love to eat- but the smell lingered during our entire stay. A scented candle or a diffuser probably would have done the trick. Also when we rented, the apartment was listed as a 2 bedroom 3 bathroom. But that is inaccurate. Itâs a 2bedroom, 2 bath. One bathroom upstairs with a door separating the vanity from the shower and toilet which was very convenient. And a full bath downstairs. We worried about getting our large suitcase up the small spiral staircase, but they have a door at the top of the landing that opens to an outside stairway that you can use.
The carpet and locks to the outside should be updated.
Facility was clean and location was perfect for a great view of part of the city skyline. We were just one block back from Grandview and the overlooks, the incline, and one street over from Shiloh with many good bars and restaurants.
We were a family of four looking for a comfortable home base as we moved our big kid into her first apartment downtown. We loved this place.
You can't beat this location. We enjoyed several evening walks to the overlooks next to the Mo incline, which is literally a two-minute walk from the front door. There are several restaurants within a block or two, a coffee shop, and we liked capping our evening walks off with ice cream at the stand around the block, which is open late.
The views of the city from the apartment were extraordinary day and night. We enjoyed breakfast views of the bridges stretching down the Monongahela to the south, and views of downtown Pittsburgh to the east from the living room.
Street parking was safe and easy, and a spot was available directly in front of the building every night. Even if that weren't the case, there's plenty of parking in the neighborhood.
The hosts were immediately responsive to communication, and made sure we had everything we needed, handling a couple of hiccups outside of their control quickly and easily.
The place was clean, and we enjoyed the eclectic, warm decor. It was a good mix of interesting artwork and other thoughtfully collected curios, unique lighting fixtures, and comfy furniture. We prefer the creative variety of textures and finishes of a place like this over a cool, sanitized modern uniformity.
We will 100% book again when we return to Pittsburgh!
Our family of four stayed here on Mount Washington and it was a great experience. The space was perfect - lots of nearby restaurants and bars nearby and beautiful views of Pittsburgh. The place was great and the hosts were great communicators!
