Villa Afou - Afrata - Private pool
Afou Villa is located in the village of Afrata in the greater Chania region. The house is 1. 7 km from the sea, offering views of the sea and the hills beyond; It has a private pool for the exclusive use. The house can accommodate up to 4 people plus a baby, divided into a bedroom, 2 single beds in the loft and a sofa bed in the living room. At Villa Afou you will find a fully equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining area, television, washing machine, air conditioning in every room, bed linen and towels included. In the village of Afrata find two tavernas offering local dishes. The beautiful Afrata beach made of small pebbles and wonderful water is in a very quiet place. Accessible by car, the beach is equipped for tourists and has a bar, tavern, toilet, parking, sun beds and umbrellas. The property is immersed in the tranquility surrounded by olive groves; a few kilometers you will find, however, different town, with beautiful sandy beaches, bars, shops, taverns and only 35 km the beautiful city of Chania
Delightful villa on the edge of the tiny village of Afrata on the Rodopou peninsula. We very much enjoyed the location - fairly remote - and the wonderfully peaceful beach about 3 or 4 km away to the east. We found our hire car essential. Shopping around 15-20 mins away in Kolymbari. Pool at the villa was perfect and ably looked after by Kostas, the very helpful and friendly manager. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Villa Afou!
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Renatoâs villa in the hill village of Afrata. The pictures accurately show the house and grounds. Itâs located on the village edge, which essentially put it in the olive groves. (You can see an aerial view via google maps.) There are two other houses nearby but still most of the pool and patio remain private. And thereâs a great view of the immediate surroundings and the coast toward Chania from the roof deck. The house is rustic in design with high ceilings, but with full amenities. Beware the rolling, sharp-edged coffee table; my wife had an unpleasant encounter with it. The setting was exactly what we wanted despite the cacophony of cicadas during the day.
Renato and his property manager in Chania, Tim, provided excellent communications via cell providers and WhatsApp. And once on the ground, Tim was there to show us everything we needed to know about the property. He even got us at the airport after a rental-car snafu, and he stopped on the way there for us to pick up some groceries.
Every evening we walked into the village for dinner at Tis Litsas Ta Kamomata, which has fantastic food and a view to match.
We hope to return to Afrata and Villa Afou.
