Pokerville Retreat in the Heart of Amador Wine Country

Large open plan house in the heart of Amador County. A perfect home base for exploring our beautiful wine region. Located in downtown Plymouth, you are only a five minute drive to 45 wineries and tasting rooms in the Shenandoah Valley and only 15 minutes from Fairplay. The house is also only an hour s drive to Kirkwood ski resort, so you can ski or snowboard in between days of wine tasting! The house is walking distance to the Amador County Fairgrounds, the Amador Brewery, and Taste Restaurant.

A home away from home! Large comfortable living room and chefs kitchen make it easy to have a night in and relax, while the proximity to town urges you to go out and explore. BBQ area and fire pit provide a lovely outdoor atmosphere during the beautiful Amador County nights!

When Wayne and I aren't traveling, we occasionally stay in a small studio we have fixed up in the garage. However, it has a separate entrance and yard, so you won't even know we're here!

Outstanding Comfortable Home, Beautifully decorated, All the Amenities

Wonderful property, very comfortable for our family visit, all the amenities including fully stocked kitchen. Definitely recommend for visiting the area, which has 40 local wineries as well as numerous CA gold rush towns in the vicinity. Excelllent communication with the host, easy check-in.

We had a great stay at the Pokerville Retreat. Beds were comfy, house was very clean. The welcome wine bottle was a nice touch! The kitchen was large, so a few of us could be cooking and using together no problem. Location was PERFECT. We did a lot of wine tasting north of Plymouth but also traveled to Sutter Creek and other small towns so location was very central for all of that. Highly recommend this spacious home for a stay in Amador Valley.

Wine tasting getaway

We found the house to be very comfortable and it felt like home. There was plenty of room for two couples and one dog. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed walking in the area. We appreciated the bottle of local wine left for us by the hosts! We would stay again.

Great location and Great house

So close to the wineries in Amador County. House was perfectly set up. The master shower was awesome. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and a grill was also available for us to us. I would stay again.

Beautiful home! Close to all the wineries

This property is a great spot for wineries and Amador brewing Co. We had a great time. The inside is upgraded and beautiful. The master shower reminds me of the one we have at our spa. Highly recommend this home!

Very clean and adorable house.. very open and spacious. Super easy check in. Easy to communicate with Ashley and very friendly. We stayed her last year as well for my daughters birthday. We loved it so much that we decided to stay again for her birthday this year. Highly recommend this property.

Very nice unit...we loved it.

This unit is a perfect get-away location. It was quite roomy and comfortable. It was spotless except the bottom drawer of the freezer is in desperate need of a cleaning. We also enjoyed walking distance to town and location of nearby wineries. Thank you for bottle of Amador red wine...it was quite good!

Overall pleasant stay

Overall, we had a pleasant time in the unit. The home was clean and inviting and access was easy to check-in and out. It was a fine size for the 6 of us as a base for the Big Crush event and it was appreciated thst we were greeted with a bottle of wine. I would recommend this place to others while also recommending a few improvements: 1) Making sure those in the bottom unit are quiet for the renters (1st night they were loud very early in the morning for 2+ hours) 2) Having some instructions to operate the tv so renters know the servives they can access 3) Having blackout curtains in the bedrooms, especially the 1st one

Very nice!

Nice central location for a wine tasting weekend. House is nicer than pictures depict. Beds were comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen to cook but appeared there were plenty of cookware and small appliances around. Lots of books around to read. We couldn’t get the dvd player to work but probably users error. Front door was a little tricky to open but owner responded quickly with the little trick to open and then no problem after that. Would recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice, clean stay for 6 people.

Another wonderful visit to Plymouth

This house is in the heart of Plymouth and wine country. This is my third time renting this property and will continue to come back. This time we brought good friends and thoroughly enjoyed the three days and two nights at the house.

Beautiful in Spring

The area this time of year is absolutely beautiful. In general it was a good proximity to a lot of great places. When it said five minutes from the brewery I was picturing it being more walkable but we would’ve had to walk along the highway to get to the various restaurants.

Wonderful!

We had just the best girls’ weekend in this lovely home. So warm and comfortable supplied with so many extra touches. The three of us each had a spacious, well-furnished bedroom. The tv was even set up for us to watch movies and shows on prime apps. The location right in Plymouth could not have been better. We look forward to coming again!

Good location for winery visits

Location was clean and roomy for our group of 5. So glad that we were able to bring our little beagle with us. The house was close enough to many of the local wineries, 7-10 minutes away, 10 minutes from the quaint town of Sutter Creek. I just didn't realize the house was all on the top level and the yard was not completely fenced for our dog. Other than that it was great.

Perfect Home Base While Visiting Amador County

This home has a lovely, open space floor plan, so gathering with friends and family is perfect! The home is very well stocked with kitchen, bath, entertainment, bedroom needs! AC worked perfectly! Outdoor space to BBQ. Perfect location to visit Amador County!
