Drivers Warning! It stated on hotels.com that the room came with on site parking. I arrived and was told to park around the back but the 5 or 6 spaces were filled and I asked about overspill parking. The man said I had to park on the street. I asked him how this worked with them paying the council for the ticket and he said no that was my job to sort it out. I said you must be joking but he informed me that I should have read the small print that there was limited parking at the hotel...5 or 6 spots for the entire hotel! He even said he allowed someone who had checked out to continue parking longer. They were to check out at 1100 but it was now 1430 and new guests were arriving from 1400! I said this was ridiculous and asked for a refund. To be fair he was going to process a refund to get rid of me but the amazing Simone stepped in with a solution and saved the day. I could tell the man was raging at this point...his face was priceless. The bed in room 17 was one of them beds that the mattress was held by thin cheap wood sticks and made a right noise when you moved. On a positive note, Simone was outstandingly helpful, the room had lovely high ceilings and the hotel was city centre. I won't return though due to their parking situation and bed.
Very enjoyable stay
Although up four flights of stairs our stay was worth it. Very clean hotel. Polite friendly staff
Would definitely recommend and hopefully stay again.
The chap at reception was very friendly/ helpful.
Got to park in the carpark (tight space left!).

Our upgraded room to a superior one on the 2nd floor to the front of the building was very comfortable, with seating area in the bay window with a sea view. The bathroom had a bath with shower over which was great

Housekeeping were great as were most on reception. Good shower, but bathroom light was dodgy and turned on/off at will. Room door jams - no good if you can't shoulder bump it to get in, potential fire hazard when exiting. The room is comfortable, if looking tired. Locking internal doors when reception closes, blocking a communal space, makes it feel like you're in a hostel. Inconsistent reception closing times meant 1 day was at 4 30pm. Too early.

Noisiest door in the world to my room and a fire trap if you're not strong enough to shoulder charge it open or get caught inside. Comfortable room, if dated. Sleep was fine after requesting a new mattress and duvet. Staff are hit and miss. Housekeeping are great. One morning the internal door to reception was not opened (8.40am, supposed to be open at 7) leaving an older patron stuck. I went round and opened it. One night no lights on at the front door - safety issue. Another, no lights turned on my side of the building - again, safety on dark stairs. Last night, front door locked before their 10pm shut down of reception - not welcoming.
