Everything was amazing from booking to check out and everything in between! Wonderful communication, this is the first time Iâve had a host check in after the first night to make sure everything was to our liking. The home and amenities were all clean. And the beds were so cozy. My kids canât wait to comeback in the spring to see the property without the beautiful snow.
This was our second time staying at Rivers Ledge. The pics of the property are beautiful but in person you realize just how amazing the retreat is; breathtaking views, private grounds, cozy cabin, and a sauna and hot tub just make it such a special place to unwind and relax. Everything about our stay was easy from booking to departure. We highly recommend staying here!
If you're looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains with a spectacular view, this is it. Our family of five plus our dog stayed here for a week in late April and we had a fabulous time bonding. We made use of the fire pit, the deck overlooking the river, the hot tub, and I used the writer's shed to write and do a little work. It was a very peaceful setting. If you enjoy absolute isolation and simply taking it slow to enjoy time with family or just as a personal getaway, we highly recommend staying at this cottage. Maxwell was an amazing host, always at the ready when we had a question, though we didn't really need to ask for anything. We had some questions regarding hiking in the woods. The virtual guidebook provided is very helpful. Things to note, though nothing that would drop our rating, because everything is so remote (compared to living in the suburbs or city) be prepared to travel at least 30 minutes to get to any major stores. There are some local markets in the area, and some restaurants, but you may need to venture 15-30 minutes to find places. If you're the outdoorsy type, there are lots of parks/trails near by, plus in the summer time there's a lot of activity on the river. All in all, a great experience. We'd definitely visit again.
The house was just as cozy and quaint as we had hoped. The deck overlooking the river is beautiful and there's plenty of backyard space for campfires and yard games. We used it as our home base before and after our river float trip along the Del Water Gap and would do so again.
