A bluestone cottage in the heart of Port Fairy
This gorgeous old bluestone cottage is tucked away near Port Fairy's wharf in a quiet cul de sac. With farmhouse - style features and polished wooden floorboards it is an easy stroll into town, its charm and grace will delight.
The holiday cottage has a pretty living room with open fire and a separate sun room leading to the rear garden and patio. It's just right for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of life's cares.
With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom it offers a great holiday home for families and couples looking to enjoy Port Fairy's varied year long offerings.
In the summer wander the busy streets and enjoy an ice cream or enjoy watching the world go by from one of our many cafes. As a blue stone cottage it is a perfect retreat on hot summer days, keeping you cool inside its heavy stone walls.
In the winter months light up the open fire and enjoy those early dark evenings snug inside. Visit on Port Fairy's winter weekends and sample of the many exciting activities from local fairy hunts, tales of fae and folklore around the fire, markets and workshops. The possibilities are endless and they are all waiting for you here.

We brought some family from England to stay for 2 nights and we chose the cottage for its warmth and ambiance and it did not disappoint.
We all enjoyed our stay.
The cottage looked exactly as it did on line. It was well presented with well chosen original antique furnishings. While the beds were too soft for us, the bedding and towels were of a beautiful quality. An unexpected bonus was the ripe apples and passionfruit on the trees in the garden, yummy.
Unfortunately the property did not have an internet connection. While this was not mentioned in on the Stayz website we did not notice as every property we have used in recent years has wifi, it is simply an expectation in 2023. This would not have been a problem as we, like most people, have data in our phone plans but because the property was built of stone it was very difficult to get any connection at all inside. All I could get was one bar 3G which dropped out almost immediately. This meant going outside to use the internet which was very inconvenient. I suggest addressing this issue. Internet connectivity is simply an expectation these days, especially when, in this case, the house manual was online.
Great experience fantastic cottage and location, I love port fairy. I forgot something when I arrived called customer service and the gentleman that helped me with my question was a champ.
We loved staying here and the set up for two families in a lovely quiet court close to the town centre was great. We will definitely stay here again. We had great service when, on arrival two beds had mistakenly not been made up, and the property manager was friendly and helpful and came very promptly to rectify the situation. Thank you!
We had a great stay and enjoyed the property overall. The property managers were great with arranging key pickup and drop-off and provided some tips for things to see and do. Our only concerns were the mattress in one of the double beds had a massive sag in the middle of it, so occupants tended to roll into the middle and had to sleep on a strange angle. The main issue was the fireplace. It was so smoky it was practically unusable. We checked the chimney and tried setting the fire as far back in the fireplace as possible however the room still gradually filled with smoke. We chose the house on the basis of the large welcoming fireplace for a winter weekend away. It would be useful to either fix the issue or else make clear in the description that the fireplace is unusable. Otherwise a great house in beautiful location.
