Book your next getaway today at Emerald Shores Retreat at St Joe Beach. SJB feels like a private beach with numerous boardwalks leading to the soft white sand. Enjoy the calm with family or friends at Emerald Shores Retreat located within the new neighborhood of Windmark North. ESR offers 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms with 2 living rooms and a bonus space to read a book or play some cards. You will be a five-minute walk to Windmark Beach through the neighborhood using two new boardwalks or a quick drive to Mexico Beach. Enjoy the new pool, only a three-minute walk away, with beautiful views of the ocean behind it. Beach carts and chairs are on the property for guests to use plus some bikes to enjoy on the Old 98. The neighborhood pool is closeby, but guests can enjoy the 2nd pool (seasonally heated) at Windmark Town Center off of Goodmorning Street. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciate all of the amenities! We did end up buying a few fly catchers because the flies were constant in the kitchen. So, you might consider buying a plug in catcher, which seemed to do the trick for us. Also, the hand towels were purely polyester so they didn't really dry anything after washing hands, etc. I think a few cotton towels would be an easy trade and make a big difference. Otherwise, the washer and dryer were amazing to have, tv's Roku's in every bedroom was a huge plus, my kids loved the bicycles (the chain came off of the smallest one but a kind neighbor helped put it back on!), we loved the pool and golf cart rides were a highlight for everyone.

Great vacation

We had a great stay! The house was well stocked, clean and big enough to fit our family. It was close to the pool and a short golf cart ride to the beach. The golf cart was a great addition and old hwy 98 was a great place to walk, run, ride bikes & golf cart. The house was a short car ride to Mexico Beach and downtown Port St. Joe, which had several great restaurants & shops. The owners were amazing to work with and so quick to respond to my questions. 10 out of 10.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beach house! The home was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared. The host was friendly, responsive, and always quick to answer any questions we had. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to come back!

The property is beautiful and had more room than the pictures show. The kitchen was well stocked and had anything you could ever need. We felt at home from the moment we walked in. We didn’t need to bring any of our beach stuff (we did) because the host has everything imaginable and more in the garage to use. The host was more than accommodating and let us know that the cleaner had finished early if we arrived early. The location to the pool and beach are just as described and the location is prime!! I can’t recommend this home enough!!!

The perfect holiday getaway!

This was our second stay at Emerald Shores Retreat and, just like the first stay, the property was in pristine condition upon arrival. We came for Friendsgiving as an alternative to the regular festivities. The off season is the perfect time to visit as there were few other families there so we pretty much had the beach and heated pool to ourselves. We visited Port St. Joe and Apalachicola for some great food and non-traditional Black Friday shopping in the local stores. The sunsets were gorgeous and the golf cart was a great benefit to travel to and from the beach. Already looking forward to our next trip this spring!

Beautiful home in brand new community

The home was beautiful, beds were comfortable, and the beach was within walking distance. It is a little off the beaten path- meaning you have to drive about 15 minutes either direction to find a store or a restaurant. If you gather all your groceries on the way in though, you are set for a great vacation. Owner was very communicative and overall we had a fantastic stay.

Family Fun

Everything was wonderful overall. Location is a four stars because i had to ask for the Pool's location. I presumed it would have been closer and easier to access. We decided not to rent the golf cart because the pool/shopping center wasn't accessible with it and the beach was to close to need it. The only other thing is that the 2 largest bikes were broke. One is the chain and the other the seat was broken. I didn't bring any tools but we were not able to race the teenagers like they wanted. Great house! Clean, Quiet, and just good family time.

Family trip

I looked for weeks to find the perfect beach house to accommodate our family. I found this one and knew it was perfect not knowing when we arrived it was far more beautiful than the pictures could ever show. They had everything you could possible need to make your stay and your days out so much more enjoyable. Beds, pillows, and bedding were all clean and comfy. This house truly amazed me with how soothing all the decorations were and how it had such a relaxing vibe. My kids all loved it. I would recommend putting back a little money to rent the golf cart. My boys brought their fishing poles and caught a few catfish in the Gulf. We had the best time hunting crabs at night. The girls were scared to death cause the bites were chasing them with them. Saw some alligators in the ponds close by. That was pretty cool as well. We drove to the St Joseph peninsula state park. It was beautiful as well. I would recommend this home and area to anyone. Every question we needed answered the owner’s were just a few min to respond. Had a great trip and family time.

What a great place!

We absolutely fell in love with Port St. Joe and this awesome rental. Convenient beach and pool access, great opportunity for walking and biking in the area, all with a beautiful backdrop of Windmark Beach—a beach not covered in people! The property owners were great to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed and made so many helpful recommendations for things to try in town. We will definitely be back!
