St Joe Beach w/ view, Pet Friendly~ Dolphin Daze Hideaway
Dolphin Daze Hideaway is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath vacation rental unit located midway between Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe on the Forgotten Coast in a quiet, hidden section of the beach. Because this beach house sits a half mile off Highway 98, there is little traffic to fuss with being on a short, dead-end street. It is located directly on the Bay Beach Bicycle Trail, with over 2 miles of conservation beach to serve as your private buffer from the noise and crowds.
This is a ground floor unit that is fully self contained. It has two bedrooms, living/dining/kitchen area, and full bathroom. As a convenience to pet owners, this pet friendly unit has a small fenced area in the backyard. There is also access to a shared hot tub, fire pit, grilling area, and fish cleaning station for added outdoor entertainment.
A secluded beach is within view, and a short walk of roughly 200 feet to private access. A pet-friendly beach makes it an ideal spot for families with children. Protected by the Cape San Blas peninsula, the gulf is calmer, with gentle waves rolling onshore. Its location allows privacy, with the closest public beach access a quarter mile away, so it is sometimes possible to be alone on the beach. When not playing on the beach, Windmark Towncenter is within a short 10 minute walk, offering pizza, ice cream, spa treatments, live music, restaurants, and shops.
Step away from the crowds, gather the kids and pets, and focus on enjoying one anotherâs company without everyday distractions.
**Pet Friendly, max quantity, type, and additional fees do apply**
First, I will say the place is very nice.
But, the beds and couch were hard as bricks. Me and husband could relax or have a good night sleep because where hurting. We ended up checking out a day early because of that.
Our major complaint is that we were unaware that we would be sharing this property with other people.
It did not state in the advertisement. Me and my husband planned on a weekend getaway by ourselves. We arrived and there was a whole family (Grandparents, parents and little grandkids) staying at the same place. We talked to the family and they were surprised as we were. I called the rental company and all they told me was "I'm sorry".
Also, we had problems trying to connect to the wifi the first night. I called the rental office, they told me to reset the router and i couldn't find the router anywhere in our downstairs rental. They said someone would call me and/or show up to help and no one called or showed. Luckly my husband figured out what the password is. Come to find out it was a misspelling on there guest portal. I have always used VRBO for a place to stay when we go out of town. My issue is not with the VRBO its with the rental company. Actually VRBO is the only people asked how are stay was. I know i will never rent from thay company again.
