Welcome to our Romantic Country Getaway nestled on a treed 10 acre parcel just 10-12 minutes from Port Townsend or Port Hadlock. It is located centrally to the areas amenities, breweries, wineries, and cideries. Our Getaway has been designed to be a cozy, warm, romantic space with custom woodworking, wood counters, in-floor heating and special touches to make your stay enjoyable. We have a seasonal garden with herbs and apples amongst a lovely outdoor private patio.

The cottage was a really lovely place for my wife and I to stay a few days in Port Townsend while visiting relatives. It’s comfortable and filled with thoughtful touches like a welcome basket and wine. It was a very smooth experience staying there, with proactive and responsive communication from the host. Pretty little cottage!

The entire process was very smooth, the host was very communicative and the cabin had everything we needed. Very modern cabin with all the amenities. Sitting outside in the morning with our coffee was the best. The gift basket was very sweet and made our stay even better. I highly recommend this place! We would stay again.

We love staying here; it is so quiet! It gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the forest. This is a repeat visit for us because it is so peaceful.It is well decorated and has all the amenities that one could want. The cottage was quiet, in the woods and as beautiful as the picture. The inside was decorated with style and attention to detail. The most impressive part was the beauty of the wood. If you like and appreciate craftsmanship and wood, this is the place for you! We hope to be able to stay there next year while we participate in the horseshoe tournament.

Quiet, comfortable cottage in the woods

This place is a gem! Tucked away in the woods, Linda and Charlie’s cottage is quiet, cozy, and the perfect size for two people. The indoor and outdoor spaces are relaxing and well-appointed from the well stocked kitchen to the perfect little throw blankets in the living room. When they put this place together, they truly thought of everything. We are already planning our next stay!

This is my second stay at this place and it’s still wonderful! Beautifully decorated. Generous kitchen including oil, vinegar, tons of spices, wine, coffee, tea hot chocolate and more. Heated floors. Delightful Getaway!

Idyllic woodland setting. A short drive from town. Delightful courtyard. We listened to owls and other birds and watched deer grazing on the other side of the fence. The cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. It is beautiful and has great ambience. We celebrated our anniversary and were greeted by a bottle of wine and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Checkin was a breeze and our host Linda made us feel very welcome.

Home Away From Home (for real)

Why do we write these reviews? All we need to do is rate it, 1 for “nah” & 10 for “don’t pass it up.” We can skip the hypothetical “nice bed, good communication, not enough spoons, too many pillows, not enough pillows.” But sometimes, you find yourself at a special place that transcends a number rating & all you want to do is tell the owner “THANK YOU!” The cottage on chase lane is nothing less than exceptional. A superlative set of rooms united by wood choice, wall color, sky lights, rabbits, candles & so much more. The front door & bathroom mirror like so many other details, appear to be hand crafted. It feels like home. Except home isn’t quite this good. It feels br& new, but with warmth- not stagged. Have you stayed at a place that looks nice until you open a drawer only to find old pans or left-over oils & spices dating back to the 1990s? Not at the cottage. You will be making coffee & cooking with items that you would want at home. You may even find a wonderful basket filled with upscale treats, coffee & teas. It felt as if I was going to visit family & they wanted to make sure that the place was perfect. We came to explore Port Townsend but ended up wanting to just enjoy the rainy days inside this charmer. The nearby roads are fun to explore & perfect for a short run. I almost feel as if this little house is the master work of someone special & I am not sure why they are letting ordinary folks stay here. But alas, they are so enjoy it while you can. P.S. This is a 10!

This place is even better than the photos. Beautiful woodwork and details throughout. Heated floors. Comfortable bed and furniture. Well stocked kitchen. Great fire pit on back deck and various outdoor places to sit. Wooded property is quiet, beautiful, and peaceful. Very responsive and thoughtful owners. One of the best rentals I’ve been to. Highly recommend!!!

Thank you for the most amazing stay! This little charmer is a gem! They thought of everything, including treats, A stunning little cottage in a spectacular wooded setting. It’s a silent haven. There are even fruit trees and a garden you can access for organic fruits/vegetables. What really stood out for me is that the whole place is thoughtfully designed to also accommodate guests with disabilities: doorways and bathroom are ADA accessible. The high ceilings make the relatively small footprint seem much bigger than it is. Indoor and outdoor space is designed around comfort and privacy. We loved that it is a little off the beaten path, and oh so worth the drive! Very short drive to Port Townsend. We’ll stay here again. Highly recommend!

So comfy and relaxing!!

We made the trip up for a wedding, and this was a great place to stay. The location is so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is so adorable, comfortable, and well appointed. We loved the thought and care that went into the decorations it creates such a nice feel and the pictures don't do it justice. Linda has some nice touches to make you feel welcome... cookies, a few drinks, just some great ideas that make you feel appreciated. I can't say enough good things but this is the perfect spot to venture out and see the town, the Fort, etc.
