When we arrived, we had an issue with the key being stuck in the door. Called the number on the welcome sheet, spoke to a guy and advised he would call back within 10-15mins. 1hr later and still no call. We then called but no answer and started an online chat, which was very slow. I called again and a lady answered and said we would have to wait 12hrs and I asked if they were expecting us to sleep with an unlocked door. The lady was quite rude and said no we arenât expecting that (however it was late afternoon and not know what was going on).
We decided again to try and remove the key and managed to do this ourselves. We also noticed the sofa bed had been bent at the end, which created a massive divot in the middle. A light was hanging down from its wires in the kitchen and bathroom had a lot of mould on the tiles and shower screen.
The whole apartment smells of damp and a funky smell which we think is coming from the drains. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and needs replacing.
Once we had removed the key, I informed them on the chat. We decided to go get some food as it was late and when we came back, noticed on the chat that they had tried to come around when we were out.
They wanted to send a technician out, however we were not in the mood for someone to inspect the issues⊠and just wanted to try and get on with our holiday.
Location is spot on, itâs just a shame that the bed was awful and the smell/mould.
We checked out a day early, to get a room in a hotel.
