We loved that it was not a huge resort. Cushioned Lounge Chairs were included on both the beach and overlooking the beach under tiki huts. Staff was friendly and remembered you. Pura Vida!

Hotel grounds are beautiful and the staff is extremely helpful and pleasant.
We stayed in room #403 which was large, very clean and very modern/stylish.
The food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Of note is that breakfast is included with your stay. And here, you order right off of their full breakfast menu. A pleasant surprise which you usually don't find at most hotels with restaurants.
Lastly, the hotel's restaurant overlooks the pool and has a great view of the pacific.
The town of Potrero is rather small, but this hotel is where you will want to stay if you're visting this area of Costa Rica.

Wednesday morning was a storm and the water when in side the room. The help as with bags bad a lot of things get wet all this happens around 7:00am we were sleeping when they call as to inform that we have to move to other room.
Very bad experience for me an very scare for my wife.

One of the best hotels in the area!
Bahia Del Sol Hotel is located in a great area. It is actually a five minutes drive to Playa Danta and about 10 minutes drive to Playa Flamingo which are two great beaches to visit. Playa de Potrero, where the hotel is located, is very nice as well. The hotel has a beautiful sunset (great for photos), and offers two drinks for the price of one during Happy Hour. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. Great place for a relaxing and fun vacation!

Great Resort in a secluded area
My husband and I were looking for a resort in a not so busy area on the beach. After reading many reviews we decided that Bahia Del Sol was the place for us. We stayed there for one week and rented a golf cart to get around. We visited about 5 surrounding beach towns and without a doubt we both agreed we chose the best hotel and area. Our room was the deluxe room and we were very comfortable. The staff, I can’t say enough about them, everyone of them were outstanding....always smiling, great sense of humor and always willing to help. We ate dinner there almost every night, it was very good. We loved the atmosphere, presentation and the staffs energy.. they are truly the best., Breakfast was terrific, always with fresh fruit, juice and anything you wanted on the menu. The hotel was very secure and we always felt safe everywhere. There were many restaurants close by to visit. We enjoyed the shack for lunch and was within walking distance. There were several others close by too.
We hope to return next year.
You can’t go wrong staying at Bahia Del Sol.

Good hotel minus the restaurant
Pros:Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet, beautiful garden setting
We enjoyed our room, the beautiful garden and ambiance. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful, however we did not find this so in the restaurant. The morning buffet staff server was discourteous. Although no signs indicated that you could not self-serve coffee, she commanded that we "go sit down." Her tone was gruff and manner inappropriate. We never returned to the restaurant again.
