The hosts were very kind and attentive to my needs. This is their home and they made me feel welcome and comfortable. The property is old and has beautiful character. If I'm in this area again, I will definitely see if I can stay here. Lovely people.
Lynn was very helpful. She greeted us as we drove into the driveway during a downpour, arranged our parking, and brought us in followed by a nice tour of the home and the procedures to follow. She made recommendations for dinner and areas to avoid due to traffic. Unfortunately the weather was poor so we didn't enjoy the lovely setting and outdoor space.
Be advised that to get onto the property you need to cross a very small wooden "drive over" (sort of a bridge) to cross a brook. We were a little nervous initially as it was getting dark and stormy and the visibility was poor but it worked out fine and we felt more comfortable after a few drive overs.
The house is much larger than it looks in the pictures. It is warm and welcoming. My husband is quite tall and he had to be very careful as the ceiling on the second floor is quite low. Part of the charm!
We had a busy day ahead of us so we had a cup of coffee before leaving although a light breakfast was available.
Felt like staying in someone's well-loved house. Peaceful spot. Good coffee and light breakfast. Great location for visiting the Catskills, Rhinebeck, Hudson and more.
This was a great place to stay. I had signed up for an Omega class very late & there was no place for me to stay on campus. I enjoyed the short drive to Omega & town. Lynn & Michael were gracious hosts. I had my own bathroom and my room was comfortable and private. I really enjoyed my time at the Farm House.
It Fit My Bill--A COmfortable Room and Bed At the End of a Long Driving Day
Mike and Lynn were very nice--we sat and talked of this and that for an hour or so. It's an old house, and my room was pleasantly non-conventional in size, etc.
