This is such a lovely property that is close to the major transportation routes that go through Freedom Square. The staff have always been helpful, everything is very clean, and the breakfasts in the morning on the top floor are so delicious. We love staying here when we visit Prague.

Excellent base in central Prague

Having read some negative reviews I was more than pleasantly surprised about Hotel Galileo. Breakfast was excellent, housekeeping was excellent and location was perfect. I would recommend requesting a quiet room (any in the original building) as they are on the quieter street (hotel is on a corner plot)

Huge room, tram stop short walk. Mini market 2min walk, ATM and laundromat few mins walk. Easy access to tram#22 which goes to Prague Castle and through the city. Also tram#6 from I.P. Pavlova tram stop is nearest the hotel. Found a great restaurant nearby. Tram - but tickets on the tram with the red automated machine (has english translation press British flag icon). Great city, great location for the hotel. Have to pay hotel in local currency, ATM machine at reception to access koruna - local currency.

Good location within walking distance of the train station, nice restaurants nearby. Lovely breakfast with plenty of options in a nice setting and the young man working the breakfast room was courteous and unobtrusive yet very attentive. Bed was comfortable but the pillow could have been better it was rather soft .

Great find

Easy to access by transport, not far from Václavské náměstí this a hotel is a great find. Nice neighbourhood, with restaurants and pubs around the corner, but peaceful during the night. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Definitely we will stay here again .

I am confused by all the good reviews here. I am not a crank, I am not unreasonable. I almost never ask for a different room when I get to a hotel. But this room they gave me, room 1, was small, and on the ground floor with windows that opened onto a public space. People could just walk up and look in. For any privacy at all the curtains need to be drawn and so the room was dark. So, I asked very politely if I could switch rooms. I was told “no”, the hotel was full. Something about the dismissive, almost rude tone of voice, made me pull out my computer to verify this. I did a search and sure enough, there was space at the hotel. I very politely said, “perhaps you can check your computer and make sure”. He saw me do something on my computer, but he barked back, “no, no rooms”. I turned by computer to show him there were rooms. He said he couldn’t give one to me because someone else might want them. I’d’ve happily paid more if there was a price difference, but they refused, and the tone was rude and condescending. I was nothing but cordial and polite, and so I do not understand the other reviewers here saying the staff are nice and the rooms are big. Niether were true for me. I did stay in the room and it was noisy on both sides, voices coming in from the hotel side, and people talking right outside my window in the courtyard. I won’t ever go back, and I must underscore how polite I was, and that I do rarely complain.

Good location to the centre of the Prague, 40 min of walk. Good breakfast served from the the 7 am . Overall it was a good stay.
