Needs better cleaning

Check in was great. Room was clean overall except for the tub which was filthy and full of hairs and a grime ring, so was obvious it had not been cleaned properly in quite a while. We wanted to use the hot tub and pool but didn’t because that would mean we needed to use the dirty shower afterwards. Beds were not very comfortable either.

Other reviews said this place needs an update. Sure, I agree. But for the price, it's awesome! The pool is big and indoors with a nice hot tub. There's also an exercise area (that could have used some fans). But it met our needs during a one-night stopover on a road trip. Our kids swam, I worked out in the morning. We didn't take advantage of the restaurant discount because of timing, but I would recommend this place to any budget traveler, for sure!

This was a very inexpensive stay, so I suppose you get what you pay for. I have two kids, so I had to wipe up some spills from the floor, but it was obviously already dirty and had not been mopped recently. The rag came away brown and there were areas with hair and dirt as well as something stuck to the floor. Fortunately, there were no bugs, so a dirty floor wasn't too bad. If this had been more than an overnight, I might have bought a mop in order to clean the floor. There was no security lock on the door, just the electronic lock. The window blinds were broken in one section, so I manually flipped the slats to block the view into the room. The water in the faucet was extremely hot, I would not want kids or elderly people to use the faucet without supervision. The tub had not been scrubbed as there was a ring, might not be an issue for most people but my kids still take baths. I scrubbed it out with a washcloth.

Owner is rude. The rooms tv didn’t work the staff couldn’t get it to work. The beds were horrible, owner claimed they were pillow top but I felt springs in my back woke up hurting worse than I did before trying to sleep in the hotel beds. I was also charged $100 when checked in and it was supposed to be returned when we checked out and was never returned the charge.

The pool is fantastic. It wasn’t too hot or too cold. It was the Goldilocks and the 3 bears pool. Just right. The hotel is clean and neat. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions we had. The bed was comfy. We were able to walk to the downtown area and have a drink. The next morning we went to the dinosaur museum down the street. Admission to that was only 7.00 per person and definitely worth the visit. We were passing through and didn’t have a real purpose to visit, but we were both pleasantly surprised. If we passed through again, we would 100 percent stay at this hotel again. The price was absolutely phenomenal for the hotel and pool area.
