This is a wonderful stand-alone villa located in the town of Princeville. Boasting breathtaking ocean and mountain views, this villa is ideal for couples, families, and honeymooners.

Unlike all other condos within Princeville that share common walls with other guests, Hanalei Bay Villas are stand-alone and provide guests with privacy. The town of Princeville has great restaurants, shopping center, tennis courts, and golf courses all within walking distance. Hanalei Bay and Anini Beach are both a short drive away.

This villa has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room with flatscreen TV, DVD player, board games, books, ceiling fans throughout, a dining area, electric BBQ, and two lanais facing the lush tropical beauty of Kauai. The master bedroom features a large flatscreen TV, private lanai, and its own bathroom. A washer and dryer are also provided for convenience. Enjoy the ocean view from the dining room area, check out the surf across the street, sit on the lanai and enjoy the tropical green, lush trees, and mountain views. It is a short walk to the beach path along The Princeville Resort.

Great Location
Probably the best location on the island. Views are phenomenal out front and on back lanais. Five stars. The cooking supplies are minimal (no casserole dishes, no liquid measuring cup etc), so keep that in mind when planning. Will definitely book this house again!

Beautiful ocean and mountain views in North Kauai paradise
We loved celebrating our birthdays at this lovely villa located in a stellar location in magical Kauai across the street from the ocean with incredible views from the back balconies of a lush greenery, mountains and a waterfall. High ceiling and abundant windows filled the very clean living spaces with light and views. The decor was beachy, comfortable with very Hawaiian accents. 3 beds and bedding were very comfortable. Ceiling fans and opening wooden window slats kept us cool.The roosters are noisy for several hours, fans and white noise apps help. We had everything we needed except for beach chairs that were listed, but only one there. Also found a note that said dishwasher was broken upon arrival and back sliding screen door was really worn and very hard to open. Vacasa answered texts about these things but did not follow through on fixing. Overall a lovely place in a great location very near amazing beaches, the stunning Nepali Coast, and fun towns of Princeville and Hanalei Bay where you find restaurants, shops, rentals, and excursions!

We loved the beautiful views and great location of this place. Very comfortable space, nice kitchen, comfy beds, good showers. Clean although a bit dated and worn furniture but still quite comfortable space. Their fees are very high, but this location is hard to beat. We had a wonderful stay

Horrible, decrepit property with good views
This is an absolutely horrible property, decrepit and in severe need of a total revamp, and I wish we hadn't rented this place for a week. I wish I could attach my photos as evidence to this review, but since VRBO doesn't offer the option to attach photos, I'll just describe the issues. Here is a list of my issues: 1. Hasn't been revamped since the 80's, but what left me absolutely aghast was that in the 2nd bedroom, there is a HUGE rectangular cutout in the wall under an electrical closet that really needs to have been replastered and repainted; these cheap owners / managers didn't even close out what is obviously some thing they had to do to fix some electrical issue, leaving an ugly hole in the wall 2. Room 2 downstairs; the electrical wall jack doesn't operate, and we couldn't charge our phones there; the electrical switches to change the speed of the fans are backwards, i.e. 0 is off, then 1 is high, and 4 is low (completely not in a sensible order) 3. 3rd bedroom is so cramped, it was hard to move around the room without hurting oneself 4. Master bedroom had rusted window sills 5. Master bathroom - you couldn't shut the door without first lifting up the foot towel that Vacasa has provided, so every time you want to shut the door to the toilet/tub area, you have to first lift up the foot towel, then shut the door (huge inconvenience); the shower head is completed rusted 6. 2nd bathroom on lower level had rusted windows 7. Guest bathroom on the top level had a HUGE rust stain, the size of a cowboy hat - I can't imagine why they wouldn't replace this sink 8. Guest bathroom on top level - door wouldn't lock, so we had to make sure no one entered while someone was using the toilet 9. Living room sofa gives you the sinking feeling of having lost $350/day on a condo in Hawaii that leaves you feeling like you're at the bottom of a volcanic crater; the couch is so well-used, it won't be able to take the weight of even a child 10. Kitchen table can't even accommodate more than 4 people, and only has 4 chairs; how would this even start to make sense for a place that is supposedly suited for 6 people? Take my advice, fellow traveler, and do NOT rent this place.

Location and Views
This house is in the best location with great views of the mountains with waterfalls streaming down from the back porches and from the front a million dollar view of the ocean and sunset. House is a great size and layout for 2-6 people with open floor plan and 2.5 baths. Easy walking distance to a very nice beach below the (currently closed for renovation) 1 Hotel Hanalei, just know that the nice concrete sidewalk down to the beach has about 600ish steps (it is a long way down). Many other nice beaches and Hanalei in easy driving distance. Now, why only 4 stars? Well, the house does need a few updates. House was built in early 90s and looks like early 90s but with some wear. Baths and Kitchen especially show the wear, but that being said everything was totally clean and functional. Also, the upper porch shows a table to eat outside (totally needed) but the table was not there, only some chairs (which were comfortable). Would I go back? Absolutely! This is actually the 2nd time we've booked a Hanalei Bay Villa as the location and views are amazing. :-)

Cozy Tree House
Nice property with amazing views of the mountains, valley AND ocean, specially the sunsets. We felt like we were perched in a little tree house. The location for Princeville was great as we had walking access to two beaches (though they were steep walks down paths requiring grasping ropes or going down and up a lot of stairs). The house itself was nicely situated but is a bit unkempt and needs to be updated. The appliances, bathrooms, furniture and window screens are dated (though accurate per the pictures). The management company was responsive to our requests. Having said all that, we had a lovely time!
