We recently had the pleasure of staying at Tupa Lodge, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. The lodge itself was absolutely great – a beautiful and welcoming environment that truly enhanced our family vacation. The service was consistently on point, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Thanks to the wonderful setting and excellent service, we had a truly great family time. We highly recommend Tupa Lodge for anyone looking for a fantastic getaway!

This place is nice enough. Biggest challenge is that it is far from the center of town - a better choice if you have your own vehicle than if you are taxi based. I'd also note that they arranged a taxi for me but didn't make it clear that I needed to be prepared to pay cash for it - and when this problem became clear upon check in, they weren't able to cover for me and put it on my room - which a better hotel would have done - this type of thing makes the difference between a three and a five star review.

So this is a nice, non-corporate hotel. 10 semi-detached rooms - large with balcony and good shower and smart TV and WiFi… A decent sized pool - overlooks a river, the other size of which is Paraguay. Martin and team were attentive and keen to help. Inclusive breakfast was good - cold foods. Optional omelettes, etc. Good mix of international and local (missionary) food. Evening menu is fine - decent food. It’s not a Michelin star restaurant - but I never expected it to be!! Some reviews have complained that it’s a long way from the centre - but that’s your choice, I WANTED somewhere in the jungle overlooking a border river! If you don’t then go somewhere else… Also - handy tip, make friends with the taxi driver and book them for your trips (ours took us to our next hotel in Brazil). Overall - I’d strongly recommend it.

The property Is gorgeous my adult kids loved the View of the river from our room. My kids loved this hotel more than any 5 star hotel they’ve been. They loved being in the jungle but getting there was very difficult closed dirt roads very far from airport.

I'd totally go back to Tupa Lodge. When I booked, I saw some bad reviews, but a lot of it was about the last little bit of road, like 300 to 400 meters. The road's a bit rough, but that's not unusual around here. Just drive a bit slower and you will be fine. We used Uber and taxis with no problems. I actually think that's a good thing—less traffic means less noise. The peace and quiet are the best part of the lodge. The grounds are beautiful and chill, right on the river looking at Paraguay to the west. The cabins are clean and rustic but have everything you need. The staff were super nice. The day we left, our flight got delayed, and they were cool with us staying an extra 4 hours and using everything. There's a beautiful deck and a two-level pool, perfect for chilling after a long day or just hanging out all day if you want. The restaurant has local food, and the local fish I had was amazing. They were fine with dietary restrictions. The whole vibe of the place was relaxing and welcoming. This is a lodge and not the Ritz Carlton. I totally recommend Tupa Lodge.

Very attentive staff, place Okay if you don’t want to stay in town, but it’s not worth it, you won’t be able to walk around at night. This property is far from town, nothing around, very dark roads and very big holes on roads, muddy you are going to regretted, so will your car .

The property itself was pleasant, with a very attractive pool area. However, the overall level of service and cleanliness did not meet expectations. At times, interactions felt somewhat uncomfortable, as though guest presence was an inconvenience rather than welcomed. Access to the property was challenging due to poorly maintained roads and limited signage. Additionally, the hotel is situated in a developing area where surrounding infrastructure is still in progress, which impacted the overall experience. Overall, the stay felt less like a traditional hotel experience and more comparable to a short-term rental. Based on these factors, the experience was below expectations.

we had a great time, I loved the river view from the balcony the stuff was very friendly. a few things weren't working when we got there but they took care of it they even when beyond to provide a microwave we really needed at no cost. the area around the hotel and the way to the hotel is very scary and ugly.

Tupa Lodge is a beautiful facility! The staff is helpful and accommodating. The views are idyllic and the property is quiet and relaxing. It is important to know that it is out of the way from both the town center and the national park. You will pay more for transportation anywhere including simply going into town to use the park bus service, and group tours that normally include pickup will NOT pickup at Tupa. If you’re willing to pay a driver, the staff is happy to make arrangements and recommendations, and we were well cared for the duration of our stay. Have the empanadas for merienda! They are amazing!

Beautiful property in isolated location

This property is beautiful, right at the edge of the Parana River and the border with Paraguay. Our room was huge with beautiful wood panelling, white tiled floors, and a stunning floor to ceiling glass wall overlooking the infinity pool and the river beyond. Plenty of space, with a true king bed ("king" beds are not always as advertised in South America, in our experience), two smaller ones. Nice, modern bathroom, although with some signs of wear. Getting to the property was a bit of an adventure, with dirt and rough roads the last mile or so. Food options are minimal, with only a basic continental breakfast. Takes about 20 minutes to get to the main drag in town, where dining options were surprisingly good. One quibble: a weird sewer smell in our room, which was temporarily masked with cleaning agents.

The Tupa Lodge has a lot of potential but is missing the mark. The location is very secluded and it in the nature which is beautiful, but the dinning options are very limited for a hotel that is far away from town. The breakfast did not have any vegetables and the one evening we stayed for dinner, they were missing too many things on the menu. There are glass railings around the bungalow porches and pool but they are not clean. Too, bad. Most of the staff was really great and very accommodating but it was difficult to communicate in English. One of the wait staff just said "No" if she didn't understand us instead of trying to understand how to help us. It's a shame because the place is really beautiful.

We were so excited for our stay here and had spent more for a luxury stay whilst in Iguazu. The property is remote from the town and that is okay as you get that feeling of being closer to nature, however despite a beautiful property we were super disappointed with our stay for other reasons. There were no English speaking staff, or any attempt from the staff to really communicate with us even via translator. The catering was really poor - a very limited menu with few things actually available from it, we could have cooked better ourselves. The menu is only available through QR code but the site doesn’t work and is missing many dishes from it too, would be so much better to just have one printed as the one staff member working seemed to not know the options. There was also only limited drink options, we had seen many great pictures on social media of cocktails and delicious meals but none of that was seen in reality. We also had no hot water in our room, we called for help and the staff said they’d fix it but nobody ever came back, we then told the front desk twice and just nothing was done about it. Not sure if this was a language barrier, but in a luxury hotel was an incredibly poor experience with no offer of help. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt here important to flag to people so others aren’t as disappointed as we were, we wished we had just stayed in a cheaper option in the centre of town as it didn’t deliver on our Iguazu retreat dreams sadly.

Le site est superbe avec sa piscine surplombant la rivière Rio Paraná. Les chambres sont réparties en cabines privées avec terrasse donnant vue sur la rivière. Comme le site est à l’extérieur de la ville, nous devons prendre tous les repas à l’hôtel. Cependant la nourriture et la qualité du menu et de ses plats sont excellents. Le personnel est courtois et avenant. On s’occupe bien de nous. Après une journée au parc des chutes Iguazú, le repos à la piscine est plus que bien mérité.

Le cadre, les chambres et la vue sur la parc côté Paraguay est sublime. Le seul hic de notre séjour fut le service du restaurant et la nourriture. Pour un hôtel de ce standing nous attendions quelque chose de plus carré et surtout de la nourriture qui soient mangeable... N'hésitez pas à aller au Tupa mais mangez autre part que dans l'hôtel

Bellísimo Tupa Lodge

Sublime hôtel sur les bords du Parana. Ambiance très tranquille, très relaxante, On s’y sent tout de suite bien. Les chambres sont immenses, le personnel est très souriant et organisé les excursions. Je recommande grandement cet hôtel.

Prévoir des matelas pour les transats piscine, le bois c'est dur. Menu pas assez varié pour le restaurant Au vu du prix de la chambre l'eau minérale pourrait être offerte

O hotel é maravilhoso, um contato abundante com a natureza, uma tranquilidade por ter poucos hóspedes, são apenas 10 suítes. Um lugar extremamente agradável, os funcionários foram super solicitos e educados, o café da manhã foi excelente. Nós, como bons brasileiros, só sentimos falta de ovos. Gostamos demais de nos hospedar nesse hotel. A única coisa que se deve ter atenção é a necessidade de alugar um carro, pois ele fica um pouco afastado do centrinho de Puerto Iguazu, de taxi ou carro de aplicativo a experiência não será a mesma. Se for alugar o carro em Foz, a locadora tem que fornecer a carta verde, senão não consegue passar na fronteira, não são todas as empresas que fornecem.

Fantastiskt ställe om du letar lugn och ro. Utsikten mot floden var jättefin. Personal fixade taxi vart vi än skulle. En hel del insekter på rummet,kan vara ide att montera tröskel under dörren.
