We paid 4500 for four nights after fees. For this price, you do have an expectation of certain amenities.
The selling point of the property is that you are legitimately right on the beach. As a result, we wanted to spend all of our time on the porch and the upstairs balcony roof. The view is incredible, but the outdoor furniture is so broken and decrepitâ itâs hard to put into words. Each cushion was lumpy, and many cushions were missing. The chairs were falling apart, crooked, unstable, or broken entirely. We went down with four adults, though the house would sleep many more. There is not even four outdoor chairs to sit in that function. It was literally more comfortable to sit on the ground. Our neighbors felt so sorry for us that they let us borrow their chairs by the last night.
Additionally, the posting advertises that there are 2 king beds. As we came down with another couple and no kids, this is why we picked this property. There is only one king bed. The second bedroom has a queen. The third bedroom has bunk beds.
Further, one of my favorite ways to spend a beach vacay is slowly drinking coffee with a view. On the first morning, we attempted to make coffee with their coffee pot, and I was electrocuted and the coffee pot never worked after the electrocution.
The toilets clogged easily and had broken plungers. The showers did not drain and I would be left standing in 5 inches of water by the end of my shower. When the property manager was alerted to this, the plumbers did come right away, but they were still slow.
The outdoor tiles were very broken and jagged- very easy to hurt yourself on. The tvs were so small, with infinite dangiling cords, so we did not even attempt to turn on one. There is a cornhole set in the garage but no beanbags to play with.
Again, we had a great time, and there were plenty of good things, but these are pretty major downgrades for a place that is $1100/night.
