Just finished my visit at fantasia and I have to say, I would give this a 1 out of 5 stars. This resort looks run down. So here is my break down below. 1 day arrive sat the hotel room, sheets were stained had to get new sheets. Mosquitos were everywhere in the room. When to the buffet and it was all disgusting. No flavor nor nothing, deserts look like but has no flavor whatsoever so ever. We slept on a rock hard bed. Day 2- went down and had breakfast, same thing as dinner, bland and tasteless. Only good thing was overcooked omelette, bacon, juices and fruit. We went and complained about the room and they moved us to another room, in the new room, the toilet leaked when flushing. Pool areas were nice and my kiddo loved playing on the slides but pool side bars for food were plain and boring. Lunch dinner was at Paridiso, get the lobster pasta, prob the best thing we had as pasta was fresh. We went to the front bar there and the drinks were good. Wehad requested more towels and extrpillow three tiems before i had to blow up the manager and compla again. Day 3- breakfast at circus was better than buffet. Went to the pool and had pool side bar pizza, no bueno. Went went o have hamachi at mako, it was ok, better than buffet. Good luck getting there, no staff speaks English and impossible to get them to understand. Day 4- did the same thing as day before, but by this time we were ready to leave. With the lack of edible food, La gormet was not good, avoid it.

If you even can call this pillow it’s piece of garbage . People very nice and friendly I mean staff very very nice plenty of food but rooms need to be updated sheet need to be changed and pillows need to be changed to they are in very bad shape smell so bad.

We booked Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana through Expedia because of the glowing reviews and photos. What a mistake. The reality was a filthy, poorly maintained resort infested with bed bugs and roaches. The rooms were nothing like the pictures. It felt like false advertising—completely misrepresented on Expedia. We checked out the next day for our safety and sanity. On our way out, staff tried to pressure us into signing a waiver—then blocked our taxi driver from leaving until we refused. It was extremely unprofessional and felt unsafe. Expedia has been no help. We’ve only been passed from one call center to another with no resolution. We’re now pursuing formal complaints with the Virginia Attorney General and BBB. This hotel and listing are a disgrace. Do not trust the photos or the ratings. Avoid this property, and Expedia should be held accountable for allowing such false advertising to mislead families.

The worst hotel I have ever been to! The air conditioner was not working from the day we arrived. We had to contact maintenance 4 times, and it was still not repaired. The shower was not draining, there was a leak in our room that caused me to fall, and when I spoke with manager, they not only did nothing to fix the leak, they did not even offer an apology. The food was terrible, and always cold, the drinks were too sweet, and service was horrible.The electrical outlets in the room were not working, and when I tried to plug something in the outlet came off.The property is not well maintained and filthy overall. My original reservation was for a week, but after 3 days we checked out. I was assured by the front desk and management that I would be refunded for the nights we did not stay, but as of now I am still working with Expedia to receive that refund, unsuccessfully.

We didnt like being so far away from the beach. We stayed thirsty because it was hard to get refills for our drinks. We loved the pool, bars, snack bars and waterpark! Our room was decent. The beds were hard and our back door didnt lock. The tile all around the resort was so slippery all the time. But overall we had a great time!

Unfortunately, I was unable to complete my vacation due to an incident in which my baby sustained a skin infection caused by a bacteria. As a result, we had to return to our home country as quickly as possible. It is deeply concerning to learn that other infants have experienced similar injuries. I believe that something should be done to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.

Really good resort specially for the kids. Kids Club is Amazing and they do a lot of activities for the kids. Food was amazing. Japanese restaurant is awful, it smells really bad and is super hot in there, food menu wasn’t good either.

The rooms are ok. But certain items like lights and shower and tub maintenance are lacking and dirty. Needs to be scrubbed clean. The hand held shower handle is broke and the jacuzzi is filthy.  The tables needs better wiping down. You can still see dirt or marks from the previous people that stayed there. The gym is too small and lacks equipment. For the size of the resort sharing the gym with another resort it lacks a lot of equipment and variety Compared to other similar resort Maybe if some of the above concern were addressed.  We've been to many similar resorts and Bahia just needs improvements specially in the maintenance department and attention to details

The kids club was amazing they did many activities and celebrated my son’s birthday in very special way. The property is safe and clean staff very friendly. The pool was great and the beach is easy to access with shuttles that available all the time.

Rooms were clean, and property was quite large - but communication and service were average at best (buffet service specifically - it was a challenge to get water/coffee refills - and really any attention from waitstaff after having been seated). Thankfully, I speak enough Spanish to get by - and I would never expect English to be spoken in a Spanish-speaking country - but I was just surprised at the lack of English-speaking employees in a place that is visited by so many English-speaking tourists. We stayed near the castle, as we traveled with kids, but it was a bit dated - and I preferred the pools at others parts of Fantasia. Also, navigating around the resort was extremely challenging, especially with the ongoing construction. I am a believer that every vacation is what you make of it, and we did enjoy our week away, but I probably would not stay here again.
