The only complaint I have is that in your room they only have colors light beer. How I’m the world am I in Dominican Republic and not have president beer in my room. INCREDIBLE

The resort is beautiful and clean. The staff and service was the worst I've experienced at any resort. They are not friendly at all. Do not respond smile or even respond when you thank them. Just walk away.

Check-in was a hassle. When we booked our stay for two, we wanted to split the cost evenly, so Travelocity split the reservation so that the hotel room was under a different person's name for each half of the week. Upon check-in, the staff had a really hard time locating our reservation, despite presenting them with our names and the Travelocity confirmation numbers. Turns out, the reservation in the system contained my first name, and my friend's last name, creating a new name in the system, causing the front desk attendant a lot of confusion, and she didn't speak any English and our Spanish is limited, so we didn't know what the problem was. The hotel grounds were nice and the beach was gorgeous. I'm really happy that they put us in the Barcelo Bavaro Adults-Only Beach section, as it was less crowded than the Barcelo Bavaro Palace area. The staff was warm and friendly and the nightly entertainment at the Palace was fun. Our room was decent but the bathroom really needed an upgrade. The tub needed a reglaze and there was messy caulking between the tiles on the wall. There was a lot of variety with the food, but it was the same spread every day - and it was sometimes too salty. The restaurants were nice and presentation of the dishes was pretty, but the actual food wasn't any better. However, the fruit was always fresh, the desserts were delicious, the rotisserie chicken served at the lunch buffet was good, and having an omelet and crepe station at breakfast was nice.
