The rooms were dirty. Ask for wash clothes and never got any all week. It took forever to get a drink at the bar and at restaurants. Evening restaurants were good. But they would only reserve 3 nights at a time. So last night was by luck they found us a late night restaurant. Buffets were very bland. Never saw salt and pepper. No ice machine. So no sitting in room to make your own drink. If you are in a basic room(yellow arm bands) you were waited on dead last. They only gave us 3 towel cards for 5 people. Then when we check out told us were supposed to come back the 2nd day to get the other 2. Then because I didn't have the last 2 cards the wanted to charge me $20 because i didn't have them. And that's not everything. I will NEVER be back! And I will make sure and tell everyone not to go here.

This place is a joke, don’t ever go here. Their whole resort is very outdated with the exception of the ULC area. Seems like most of their focus is only to better the ULC. Second, the room the gave us was not cleaned and the washroom had a dirty tub with black grim and a broken toilet seat. Also worth noting is that their plugs were not working and I needed this to plug in a medical device. When I went to the concierge to complain they said I needed to fill out a report and that it could take the whole day to fix. I asked if there was another room available as I had just checked in and they said no which is highly unlikely due to the low season. We decided to stay and then got a service call on the last day asking if everything was good, I told them this is the worst resort I have ever been too and would never come back. The person that spoke to me said I would’ve given you a new room which was great if I wasn’t leaving the next day already. There is definitely a lack of supervision and the employees just do as they please. Example of this is at the pool buffet; all the staff just hide in the middle room and no one cleans the dishes and the place was absolutely trashed during lunch. I saw a whole plate of spill on the ground and no one cleaned for the hour I was in the restaurant, I also had to wait for plates for 30 mins. The Ala Cartes are no better, the service was slow and at Route 66 they sat us in a booth and I fell in through because the booth was broken. Not a 5 star!

We just got back from our week long stay at the Grand Sirenis. While it was pleasant enough, I would not agree that this is a five star resort as what their website indicates. Staff: there were some who were very pleasant and accommodating, but most didn’t really look like they were happy to be working there, and it showed in their attitude towards the guests. Room: Five stars for our housekeeping lady. But the room itself needs some updates and repairs. One of the light switches was not working, so we’ve had to loosen the lightbulb to get that area dark at night for sleeping. It was never fixed as promised by our concierge. Food: A la carte restaurants were great. However, only 2 of the 7 were open each night due to it being “low season.” No communication about this prior to arriving. Buffet was repetitive, flies where they have dessert and fruits, and bad smell around the meat cooking station. Pools: Clean enough if you stay away from the swim-up bar that reeked of beer and bathroom. Resort corridors: Maybe we came during a time when it’s due for their septic tanks to be emptied as there was an occasional whiff of sewage smell, otherwise the surroundings was clean. Finally, be aware that you will get a sales pitch in the guise of a resort “tour” with “VIP” breakfast and a “presentation.” Just say no.

The resort overall is beautiful. I only leave reviews when I have amazing service and terrible. This is a mixture of both. Beware they only have minimal restaurants open each night. We went the first day to book ALL the nightly dinners for the week. We were told everything was booked and the buffet was the only option, which is subpar at best. We were missing the remote in our room and finally got it the last day prior to leaving after 6 to 7 requests. Our room was hot and we called everyday only to hear everything is working as expected while our other parties room were cold. On a bright note, the servicing staff was top notch and treated us like family. Overall, you pay for you get. This is a good resort but don't expect too much.

From the moment we checked in, we knew it was going to be bad. The majority of the staff was rude and unhelpful. The food was awful, the liquor options at every bar was bottom shelf at best, and all the rules this place had for being an “all inclusive”‘resort were unbelievable. My son called this an all “exclusive” resort with all the red taped associated with this place. Room service staff was horrible and there are only 5 meal options included for free. On top of that, you can only order 5 plates. Therefore, weren’t able to order an entree and salad for everyone. Do not waste your money. This was the worst experience ever and we could not wait to leave. The staff was more helpful getting us checked out than they were making our time there enjoyable. This is a 1 out of 5 stars for food, service, and staff. I checked with other travelers on 2 different excursions to see if they had the same experiences at their resorts and was told no. We even turned down the chance to win a free weeks vacation in a raffle to any of this chains resorts all over the world because of how terrible this was. We wouldn’t come back if this place was free.

We only could choose from two dinner restaurant options each night, did not get into the restaurants we wanted, all nights they kept saying they were full. I don’t know if i believed them. The beach was our favorite place: loungers under the palm trees, clean beach area, friendly staff.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was definitely a great way to relax after our big day. Loved the food and would definitely recommend trying the a la carte restaurants. Specifically the Japanese one in particular. We also booked a trip to the Scape Park at Cap Cana. The resort helped us book it as well and everyone was extremely helpful and nice.

The restort was pretty nice. I was a little dissatisfied on how the room was cleaned. It smelled damp in the room like it was not aerated well. It had a bad smell. It was smelly for the entire trip. The beach and pool was nice, food is decent. Lots of activities to do. My kids had a blast. The building we stayed at, the elevator was SUPER slow and for some reason it was off in the morning. Not sure if i’d go back or if i do go back i’d request a bigger room and hope its clean. It seemed more like surface cleaning than anything else. Drinks were ok considering its all inclusive.

Worst resort I have ever stayed in my life. The rooms wasI uncleaned with trash in the sofa bed and roaches in the rooms. Staff not helpful. Limited food options. I will not recommend this resort ever.

Escribo esta reseña con enorme decepción y frustración. Soy una persona discreta que rara vez escribe comentarios negativos, pero mi experiencia en este hotel fue tan mala que me siento en la obligación de advertir a otros futuros huéspedes para que no pasen por lo mismo que mi familia y yo. Desde el momento de la reserva, las promesas del hotel son completamente falsas. Su página web anuncia ocho restaurantes a la carta, pero la realidad es que solo tienen dos. Y lo peor es que son una farsa: intentamos reservar en diferentes días y a todas horas, y NUNCA, repito, NUNCA había disponibilidad. Es como si existieran solo para adornar el sitio web. Al no tener acceso a los restaurantes, nuestra única opción era el bufet. La comida es de calidad extremadamente baja, repetitiva y con muy poca variedad. Es de lejos lo peor que hemos comido en un hotel todo incluido. Las instalaciones son otro engaño. El parque acuático no se parece en nada a las fotos idílicas que publicitan. Está descuidado, es más pequeño y menos atractivo. La playa, que debería ser un atractivo, estaba sucia y descuidada, sin el mantenimiento mínimo que uno espera. Las habitaciones fueron la guinda del pastel. Son de calidad muy baja, con muebles viejos, dañados y con desperfectos evidentes. No se corresponde en absoluto con el estándar que pretenden vender. En resumen, nos sentimos estafados. Pagamos por un servicio y unas instalaciones de un nivel que no existen en la realidad.

The food was a total zero. The water had a bitter bleach taste. The food was like it's been sitting there for days. The sweets taste unatural with a solenda like afterctase. This was a birthday trip. They waited after the actual birthday to put the birthday band on the door. We made reservations for the a la carte restaurants. When we got there we found out the restaurant was closed. I felt so embarrassed since I was the one who recommended the hotel based on the reviews I read. Their alcoholic drinks are beyond awful. When we saw the concierge guy who made the reservation to tell him about our experience, he didn't even take a second to apologize. He was so busy trying to sell us timeshare. The only positive things were the pool, and the Haitian folks working there.
