I stayed at Grand Sirenis from August 20-24th and we did not have a pleasant experience. I would rate this hotel at a 2 star at most. It was very hot in Punta Cana and the air conditioning in room was not great, felt warm, had to be changed rooms due to cleanliness. Our second room the bathroom had a leak and phone wires exposed. TV was also not working. Restaurants were very hot. Not a lot of activities for kids once pools close. Waterpark looked very unsafe, my kids love waterparks and didn't go down slides that much due to looking unsafe. If you are not a member don't get to use golf carts. Service was not great, the hotel was packed and the people that worked there did not seem happy to be waiting on you. Restaurants were also not well kept. The entire hotel needs a lot of maintenance. Do not go here if you are planning on going in August. They did not clean seaweed on beach well, couldn't use beach.

This hotel was the worse I’ve ever stayed at. Rooms aren’t that clean. The service is terrible. I waited hours to get my room. The pools are super hot. Super packed. Not clean. They are just horrible no food options. The buffet was the only decent thing. Shout out to ANA from the buffet she is so nice. Her team Victor, Gregory, and Juana were amazing and made us feel so good despite the horrible experience we have had.

Honestly, this place has the potential to be a great vacation spot for families. However, the management lacks focus when it comes to customer satisfaction. They also need to create a work environment that makes the staff happy, which would lead to customer satisfaction. Ninety percent of the staff we spoke with said negative things about the hotel and management. I noticed that most of the staff name tags either don't have names or are difficult to read. Sometimes they use different names to avoid complaints about their service. The entertainment team is the only friendly staff, and they do a great job. In terms of safety, the water park has many issues that raised my concern. The hardware on the water slides is not properly secured, and the exposed bolts lack covers, which could cause injury. The water park is showing its age and needs improvements. When I checked in, they told me that the room I reserved was a standard room. However, I know I booked a one-bedroom family suite. They wanted to charge me an extra $50 per person per day, for a total of $1,000 USD. However, the customer service agent told me that he would upgrade me for free if I gave him a good tip. Honestly, I will never go back to this place.

The beach was terrible! It was filled with seaweed, and it was impossible to go in the water. The seaweed had e terrible smell as well. The resort wasn’t doing much in cleaning it. I expected turquoise water and white sand beaches, like in the pictures they post, and got dirty beaches and muddy water instead. It was very disappointing! Definitely won’t go back there, or in Punta Cana in general.

I want to star this review by pointing out that since the moment we arrived, we had several difficulties, starting with the check in process, but I will focus in one subject for now, first when we got to our room (family suite) the bathroom had a leak and there was a lot of water on the floor, we called and it was fixed, then the air conditioner was not working we first called at 6:30pm and we had to keep calling for someone to go and check the AC, someone arrived around 11:00pm the AC was “fixed”but I don’t know how they fixed because it didn’t work, we had to call again, to make a long history short around 12:30 midnight another was room was assigned to us, when we arrived to the new assigned family suite it was a total mess, the AC was not working properly, the window was broken and the door that divided the room was also broken, to make matter worse the sofa bed was broken, unfortunately I cannot attach a picture here and I don’t how this resort keeps such disgusting sofa bed. Honestly this has been a very upsetting experience.

These resort needs attention in the following areas. The rooms need improvement and cleaning. There is mold around the bathroom. The pool needs to be clean. You can see a lot of dirt on the edges of the pool, Specially around the pool’s bar. The beach is nasty with seaweeds and smell that you don’t want to see it. Unfortunately this is mother’s nature and they can’t do anything about it. The food was ok, but they have to control the amount of sodium in the food and more variety on the protein specially during lunch and dinner. The best restaurant was the Japanese with good food and entertainment. They need to improve in the night show because after 8 o’clock there is nothing to do and night show starts to late 9:30 which never starts on time and is really boring. The room that we reserved was not the one that they were given us, and this was a nightmare that made us wait until 5 o’clock for a better room , going back and forth. Finally Mr. Paulino found decent room for us. Be prepare to be anointed by the people around the pool and around the hotel trying to sell you tours outside the resort. But not everything is bad. The staff is very friendly and they tried to make you feel comfortable.( Karla and Pablo were amazing in the buffet during breakfast and lunch) We try to be positive and enjoy the best of the resort, but we are definitely not coming back to this resort

Horrible experience

I would not recommend booking your stay through this site or a similar one. Upon arrival, guests are given a wristband that indicates where the booking was made. For example, if you have a yellow band, you may be ignored or receive poor service. The rooms are in terrible condition—our room had water leaking from the top floor. If you plan to book, do so directly with the hotel or through someone who has a membership there. Consider this a fair warning. I wish I can add the videos

If you value cleanliness, working air conditioning, and basic hospitality—look elsewhere. I booked Grand Sirenis for our annual back-to-school family trip, hoping for a clean, family-friendly getaway. Instead, my first room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days: reused sheets with hair, four dead bugs, mold in the vents, toothpaste splattered mirrors, and a dirty bathtub. When I complained, I was told no other rooms were available—until hours later, when I was moved to another room. Unfortunately, this one has had a broken A/C for three nights straight, staying at 27.5°C despite three “repairs.” As an asthmatic traveling with my asthmatic son, this is not just uncomfortable—it’s dangerous. We’ve spent more time dealing with problems than enjoying our vacation. I travel multiple times a year and can overlook average food or entertainment, but not unsafe conditions and poor service. This was my first visit to Grand Sirenis, and it will absolutely be my last.
