Very large property with great ocean views. It is clean and rooms are spacious with a lovely balcony. Rooms can be damp from humidity; ours was less damp from running a fan we brought to run while sleeping. Numerous bar locations and restaurants with quick and efficient service. Service from bartenders can be a little slow, but they accommodate what you need and ask for when serving you. Overall great beach and hotel stay with activities, cuisine, and nightlife. Foam party was a blast for the kids, and karaoke was a hit with us adults!

The Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort is a visually stunning property with a lot of potential, but our experience was marred by rigid management and a lack of customer focus. While we enjoyed the overall atmosphere and the food was decent for an all-inclusive, the logistical headaches made our stay more stressful than it should have been. The Room Assignment Debacle We traveled as a large group of four families. Understanding the complexity of resort bookings, we reached out several weeks in advance to request rooms located near each other. Despite our proactive communication, the hotel did the exact opposite—they scattered us across every corner of the resort. Being completely separated made coordinating activities and spending time together unnecessarily difficult. It felt as though our requests weren’t just ignored, but disregarded entirely. The Infamous Towel Policy One of the most frustrating aspects of the stay was the towel policy. The resort charges a $25 fee for lost towels, which might sound reasonable on paper, but in practice, it creates a toxic environment. Because the staff is so strict about the return, it essentially incentivizes guests to "steal" towels from one another's chairs just to avoid the fine. It’s a bizarre system that breeds distrust among guests and is a major buzzkill for a vacation. Service & Communication We found the staff to be largely unaccommodating and inflexible. The room was SO outdated and there was no fridge or any sore of amenities in the rooms. The staff was ok, they were not helpful at first but it did get better the more staff we ment. There’s zero water bottles unless you buy them at the gift shop. I went with a couple girls and we would never go to the breeze again. It ruined Bahamas for us. Unfortunately, we booked Riu first, we had to cancel with no refund so we went with a cheaper option since we had to pay for it again and i regret it. Don’t stay here unless you want the cheapest hotel with barely any amenities and cheap, CHEAP liquor. I would never recommend this resort to anyone!

The room was nice and big, with plenty of storage. The mini bar lacked "bar"...only 2 beers and you only got them again if they cleaned. The staff were wonderful. The food is what you would expect for a large resort, ok but nothing spectacular. One thing I wish I had known was how much seaweed there was on the beach and in the water, it was a lot.

The hotel was very nice… although very large. Too large maybe (almost 1/2 mile from the beach to the water park. The staff was not very nice… not mean, but certainly not happy or accommodating. They did not hsve enough pool chairs for all the people booked… several altercations between guests stealing previously saved chairs. The entertainment staff was bad! And the nightly shows we good… but a 10pm start was much too late for a family with kids(9&6) I will say, it was the best resort food we have experienced… this is our 6th all inclusive!

Ask twice for clogged shower never fixed . First day no hot water, fixed the next day. Stollen stroller insisting every day to get security involved. Stroller return the night before departure. Room service done after 4 pm, 5 pm when already return in the room.

The rooms were great, the staff were wonderful, however I felt that everything was so spaced apart. The layout seemed scattered. The pool was far from our room as our room was above the main entrance of the hotel. I believe there should be more pools. The food for room service was very limited. Would have been nice for more options. I give this resort an average rating more so because of the layout of the resort. I would not recommend this resort for anyone with mobile issues as well.

The staff in reception was amazing we were given room upgrade due to expedia status . Food was really great throughout our stsy, Due to amount of days we only ate at two speciality restauants Mareas and japanese one. Both were delicious. Staff at bars were great too. We did not like food at the Valley its best for drinks in our opinion. Overall great resorrt you wont be bored it’s big so much to do. Only thing id recommend is assistance for those with mobilities issues due to it being so big.

I travel to the Dominican Republic frequently and have brought my family to Punta Cana more than 20 times, so we are very familiar with the destination and the service standards at comparable resorts. While the property itself is beautiful and well maintained, the service was consistently disappointing. Even as a fluent Spanish speaker, I found it difficult to receive timely and attentive service throughout our stay. One of the biggest frustrations was the inability to secure dinner reservations. As a result, we were forced to dine at the buffet most evenings, which significantly diminished the overall experience. The beach had no service whatsoever, which was surprising for a resort at this price point. Additionally, the bars appeared to be significantly understaffed, resulting in long lineups and extended wait times throughout the day and evening. The room layout was also poorly designed for families. There was very little privacy, making it uncomfortable and impractical for parents traveling with children. Considering the overall cost, I simply do not see the value. There are other resorts in Punta Cana that deliver a far stronger service experience at a similar or lower price. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning to this property or any Lopesan resorts. It did not justify the investment.
