Beautiful room, great restaurants with good service, ok buffet (same food every day), beach area is ok. Please change your sun beds if you want to be called luxury. Absolutely no service at the beach! Hotel is outdated but kept clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We loved our stay despite a few things. The first morning on our way to breakfast we were somehow loaded on a gold cart and forced to eat breakfast at a different resort with a staff member followed by a 1 hour time share speech. We received an $80 spa credit afterwards but did not appreciate how we felt forced and tricked into doing this. The beach was beautiful and well kept but there was way too many sales people. At most times it seemed someone came up to us every 3 minutes, all day everyday. The AC in our room did not seem to work and we only had scalding hot water in the shower. This was never fixed despite asking at least 4 times. Despite these things the resort is beautiful and the majority of the staff members are very friendly and helpful. We did not care for the buffet food but enjoyed our meals at MEAT and portofino the most. The is plenty of entertainment at the pool and in the evening and the entertainment staff were awesome. We had an awesome time at the foam party in the main pool! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

The resort does not have elevators so if you’re on the third floor you have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to your room. With your suitcases. Our room refrigerator was broken and we had to ask twice to get it fixed. Our room tv remote was broken and had to call to get a new remote. The sink drain stopper came completely out and the sink barely drained. There were roaches in the room. The AC broke in the dining hall for 2 days and our room for 2 days, while it was 100 degrees outside. The food at the restaurants was not good. MEAT steakhouse was horrible. Hibachi wasn’t actually hibachi and food was subpar, waited 30 minutes past our reservation time. Room door did not latch closed unless slammed hard

There are a lot of stray cats roaming the property and reproducing. I would strongly suggest that Bahia Principe develop an enterprise-wide animal control policy that includes catch/neuter/release practices across all their properties. Many of these cats were looking somewhat malnourished and loitering around the restaurant areas begging for scraps.

the room at first glance was amazing but then we noticed the sheets were dirty, there were ants in the bathroom all over the sink area, and bed was veryy uncomfortable i woke up everyday with a backache. The food was okay, i was expecting wayy better tbh, the buffet was our go to, we went to two of there restaurants on the ambar property. the steakhouse was disappointing unfortunately, but then the italian restaurant was actually pretty good. on some good notes tho, the staff was very friendly and attentive, drinks at the bar were firee you could literally ask for anything and they got you. we went down by the beach one day and it was beautifull, not a speckle of seaweed in sight and water looked and felt amazing. overall i would rate the whole experience a 6/10.

Its an amazing property with vast area to explore. Lots of restaurants and the restaurant service is good as well. However, the pool bar experience was disappointing due to consistently poor customer service, unfriendly staff, and unclean drinks. The staff at the pool bar will never greet or acknowledge. Only one bar available for pool and beach area together, except for some special events. We ends up in buying liquor from outside (uber eats). The service at the restaurants and the lobby bar was excellent and staff were very friendly on all other areas except the pool.
