The resort is beautiful. Check-in was quick and easy. The lobby bar was awesome for service, drinks, and entertainment. The beach setup is great. Pool is beautiful but can be hard to get chairs. Towel service is excellent. The pool bar was ok but drink quality ranged from pour the drink out to perfect. Our room was very clean. It did not have consistent hot water for shower. Wish the TV was a Smart TV so we could have signed into our apps. Sadly limited TV options due to language barrier. The swim up pool is not worth the extra cost because the water is so cold you cannot swim in it. Room service was excellent!! They kept our room clean and were very responsive to our needs. We had private breakfast in room most mornings and ordered late night dinner once. The food was good quality and served warm. Day activities were good. The breakfast buffet was good but we did not enjoy the lunch or dinner buffet. We ate dinner at MEAT, Limbo and Portafino. They were good overall. If you are a foodie, this may not be the place to stay, but definitely is a place to stay for beauty and relaxation.

Bahia Principe Luxury Amber The room was very clean and super comfortable We had a corner suite near the lobby and it was also much larger than we expected AC was challenging but because of the first floor and the ceiling fan we were comfortable The room cleaning staff Tonya especially was excellent and did a great job Almost all the staff were friendly and accommodating shout out to the gal at the lobby restaurant, forgot her name but had orange frizzy hair and of course the towel guy, older gent was super friendly All the restaurants were excellent and I recommend trying them all The only thing to take note was making reservations ahead of time… often the online reservations said they were all full but when we arrived at our allotted time every restaurant was half empty. Be prepared for them upselling beverages… The wine and champagne included weren’t very good The pools and the beach were outstanding and the entertainment staff were a lot of fun and kept everyone entertained day and night It would have been much more helpful if there were more used beach/towel drops spread out. There was only one central towel stand and a lot of people just left towels on there chairs especially on the beach without returning them Overall we loved it and would come back again

Hello– My name is Kayla Simon and me and my friend Darien Best stayed at Bahia Principe Ambar in Punta Cana from 1/8/2026 to 1/11/2026. I would also like to mention we both stayed at the Bahia Principe in Tulum July 2025, with Bahia Principe as our go to resort as we like to travel a lot, unfortunately this last time left us both extremely disappointed. First, when we arrived it was my birthday, so I decided to upgrade our room to a swim up pool. I paid an extra $210 for the upgrade. Upon arriving to the room our room key wasn’t working, ultimately the door lock needed to be replaced. We had to spend at minimum 3 hours of our vacation unable to leave our room, and having to just sit there and watch them fix the door because the door was wide open between waiting for employees to find parts and fix it. By the time the problem was fixed the sun was down and the pool was closed, we even almost missed our dinner reservation as we were unable to shower or change because again, there was someone in our room or the door was wide open as we waited for the employees to get back with the correct parts. After it was fixed, we still needed to find someone to let us into our room the remainder of the night until they were able to reprogram our bracelets. This situation was extremely disappointing and ultimately caused us to waste an entire day of our vacation, let alone the day of my birthday. I couldn’t get dressed and ready to celebrate as I wanted to, I wasn’t able to use the pool,

Room was clean and comfortable. Most staff was a pleasure. If you have even the slightest mobility issue, please make sure you alert the front desk. There are no elevators and we were on the 3rd floor. I had knee surgery 2 months ago and stairs are still a little difficult. I did not, however, ask for a different room as we were traveling with another couple and our rooms were next to each other.
