Amazing location and lay out - staff was very courteous - would strongly recommend to be more efficient in checking guests in. It took me TWO hours to get to my room....other than that the food and beverage as well as entertainment is fantastic.

FIVE STARS with complete endorsement of this resort. My sister and I came for a 4 day weekend escape from Atlanta. From the first moment walking into the lobby it was beyond our expectations. Spotlessly clean, safe, courteous staff and phenomenal food as well as a myriad of activities. Great. Great. Great from two seasoned super picky travellers. My sister said this place was like an Adult luxury health camp. No kids appreciated greatly! ADULTS ONLY. We WILL be back and checking out another Melia soon. Activity director and aquatics leader Girely was particularly helpful.

The resort is very beautiful, only 25 minutes from the airport. It is a "wellness retreat" so the atmosphere is overall very quiet and calming. The room was nice and cleaned daily. My only complaint is that the food choices are a little limited. But the food is very tasty so I didn’t mind eating similar things during my stay. We are American so there was a bit of a Spanish language barrier, but all staff were welcoming and friendly (Frankeila, Navidad, jc santos, Maribel, Keren) I would recommend this resort!

Excellent all around. No complaints. Friendly and helpful staff. Great amenities, accommodations, food, beach, and pool. Don't come here if you want to do a lot of activities unless you plan on excursions. The goal of this trip was to relax, and relax is exactly what we did wonderfully. The food is great as well the hotel full of nature and peace on one hand and good ambiance on the other hand.

A haven for yoga lovers, The wellmaintained green areas, and the staff is genuinely warm and welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. It’s our first time in the Dominican Republic, and we didn’t think we would enjoy a wellness hotel so much. Juan Santos showed us around the hotel and provided excellent assistance on New Year’s Eve. Pros: the food, the entertainment, the staff’s always smiling and attentive service, the spa, and the clean beach. Cons: there is no shop, and transportation could be improved

estuvimos varios dias alojados en el hotel y tanto el servico como la atencion del gerente del hotel sr. santos salvaron nuestra luna de miel. la playa es espectacular tienen rooftop con musica en vivo todas las noches el mejor ambiente. muy recomendado el bike tour por todo el hotel. me hubiese gustado tener mas variedad de comida en el buffet principal. no frecuentamos usar piscinas pero el bar tiene buen ambiente y el personal es amble y atento especialmente maribel. volveremos pronto a republica dominicana.

The Melia is one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve ever stayed in property wise. The rooms weren't bad. They were okay. We had a leak issue coming from the ceiling, but when addressed… they moved us right away. The only downside to that was the new room shower was stopped up so you had water to your ankles. Other than that, the resort was peaceful, clean, staff was nice, very helpful and I will be staying again except on the other side for families with kids. Oh, and the food was amazing. Especially the Mediterranean restaurant. Oh my!

From the beginning of the check in experience, I knew this was not going to be a good stay. Some of group member got into their rooms at 6 pm which is absurd. The staff did nothing to rectify this, just told us to wait. Secondly, for the price paid. The rooms, the food and rest of the service was poor. They don't really care about you and I understand why. These workers work long days from 7 am to 12 midnight.management is to blame here who were non existent during our requests to speak with them they only contact you via WhatsApp which is absurd and unprofessional. Will never return to a melia connected resort.

The whole time was dispicable. Wanted help finding things and got sent on adventures that were a dead end. Lack of information waisted two days of our trip. Reached out multiple times to try and amend the bruises and no help was offered. Expedia rewards offers these “top tier” amenedites that’s were no help at all and were mid guided. The resort is not all inclusive. Cooks eating off customers food. I even reached out to Expedia and our rewards to help me resolve the issue. I am very disappointed and disgusted on how Expedia wanted to offer little to none compensation. Expedia wants to act like this isn’t this issue as well. On their website they promote these extras as being a gold member and we didn’t receive one of them. We were treated like scum. Restaurants reservations that our Expedia concierge told us we had. We didn’t have them. Had to wait around for an hour to get our own. Expedia needs to make this right. I have always used Expedia for my bookings even before having an account. But I am left with a bad taste in my mouth. Overall I will never stay here again. I don’t know if I can trust what Expedia puts on their website as extras they provide. And I have lost a lot of trust in their customer relations. It has been a good experiences in the past but the customer rations on this one is way below needed

Check In: Despite the 3 PM check-in policy, our room was not ready until 6:30 PM. We were told to keep checking back every hour and nothing was done to compensate us. Room: The room was as described. We didn't have any issues here. Food: There are both positive and negative aspects. Positives include the fresh fruit and guacamole. There is great variety overall, but I did have some concerns with the food safety aspect of the buffets. My stomach had issues 4 / 6 days I was there, so make of that what you will. The restaurants were much better than the buffet. We tried the Mediterranean and Vietnamese which were both good. The restaurant at the Level also did a great breakfast. Reservations: There is a lot of confusion with the dinner reservation process. It was complicated and we were told to keep coming back to check on the status of our reservations. Our group also made a private booking for the sports bar, but they had double booked us with another viewing party. Nothing was done to rectify this. Pool at the Level: It is a beautiful pool and the proximity to the beach is ideal. Staying at the Level is necessary, otherwise you'll be taking the trolley anytime you want to go back and forth to your room. Activities: We did Kareoke with Carlos at the Level bar, which was a memorable experience. Staff: Overall, the staff is friendly and kind but I suspect they are definitely over worked. The same staff would be working the breakfast buffet and the night time shifts.

We had the best family vacation ever. The resort is beautiful. By far the best all inclusive resort we have been to. The food was great and the selections were plentiful. The people are what makes this place great. Everyone was wonderful. Shout out to Tomas and John Michael. Also Lady and Daniela. The pool bar was awesome. All the activities were great. We did painting, hat decorating, mud cleanse, chocolate tasting, cane sugar juice, hat weaving, and the bike ride which was the best. Now with every piece of sunshine their is rain. The following are my subtle complaints. 1. The housekeeping are wonderful but they leave the door open when cleaning. Our room was full of mosquitos and Noseeums. I got mutilated ankles. 2. The steam room in the women's spa is dangerous. My daughter hit her foot on the heating element and suffered 2nd degree burns. 3. They convinced us to do a Melia presentation that they said would take 20 minutes for 2 free massages. We did it and it was a nightmare. Over 90 minutes and the guy was disgusting. Very passive aggressive with women. He called over a co-worker that was walking by and when she walked over he said I just wanted to make you walk over. Total creep. Fire him! Plus the free massage was not worth it. Very basic. 4. I wish the staff would have had a better understanding of English. Got tough to communicate if you didn't speak Spanish. Overall we were very satisfied.
