FIVE STARS with complete endorsement of this resort. My sister and I came for a 4 day weekend escape from Atlanta. From the first moment walking into the lobby it was beyond our expectations. Spotlessly clean, safe, courteous staff and phenomenal food as well as a myriad of activities. Great. Great. Great from two seasoned super picky travellers. My sister said this place was like an Adult luxury health camp. No kids appreciated greatly! ADULTS ONLY. We WILL be back and checking out another Melia soon. Activity director and aquatics leader Girely was particularly helpful.

We had an amazing stay here. The property is beautiful, the pool is gorgeous, and the beach is absolutely perfect. We enjoyed every moment. I want to give a very special thanks to Zully Guerrero. From the reservations to the restaurants, she took care of everything for us. Anytime we needed something, she handled it right away and always made us feel like her top priority. Even when our iron didn’t work, she replaced it immediately without any stress. She truly made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable. The team also made our anniversary unforgettable. They surprised us with a cake during our dinner reservation, and the next day we came back to our room to find champagne and another cake waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it meant a lot to us. Overall, the service, activities, the shows, the pool, the beach, and the whole atmosphere were perfect. We already can’t wait to come back

Deeply Disappointed – We Will Never Return My party and I were extremely disappointed with our stay at Meliá Punta Cana Wellness. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the property was not being properly maintained. There were weeds growing throughout the hotel grounds, and the landscaping looked run down and poorly manicured – definitely not what you would expect from a so-called upscale resort. We had booked “The Level,” the more expensive, exclusive option that promises a higher standard of service and amenities. Unfortunately, the service did not reflect that at all. The bartenders were very slow and seemed uninterested in helping. The all-inclusive concept appears to remove any motivation to provide good service, and we felt this consistently across bars and restaurants. We also had a very disturbing interaction with one of the bartenders at pool bar. He asked me to give him my hat, and when I refused, he then asked for my watch – and he clearly meant to keep it. Being asked for our personal belongings as “gifts” by staff at a supposedly high-end resort was extremely unsettling and completely unprofessional. At check-in, even in the exclusive Level area, the process was not clearly explained. Later that evening, when we went to have dinner at one of the hotel restaurants, we were told for the first time that we needed reservations and that we could not dine there—or anywhere—without one. No one had informed us of this policy at check-in. When we tried to explain

I have done a lot of traveling and never have I found a staff more accommodating, helpful and lovely. My family and I were assigned our own concierge team: Juan and Jose. They were available to us at any time that we had questions or needed assistance. They made all our reservations for restaurants, massages, etc. Others like Rosie, Octavio and so many more went out of their way to make our stay special. I recommend choosing the Level package. The rates were very fair for all we got. The grounds were truly beautiful and so well cared for. The beach was gorgeous and we spent a lot of time swimming in the tropical ocean. There are no high-rise buildings. My lovely room was on the first floor with its own patio. My daughter‘s room was on the second floor with a balcony. The food was delicious with so many choices to suit everyone’s taste. We especially enjoyed sampling exotic fruits and we now enjoy passion fruit which we tried for the first time. And I now love pina coladas! The buffet on Thanksgiving day was truly spectacular! An all inclusive resort turned out to be great for my family because everyone was perfectly satisfied with the offerings. As I conclude my remarks I want to re-state how wonderful the Dominican people are with their warmth and friendliness towards all. We’re already planning our return visit!

Wonderful stay for 3 generation family group. The staff is outstanding, incredibly kind and attentive. Grounds are lovely. Note: the few beach vendors retreat quickly when you don’t show interest and security is always around in an unobtrusive way. Small tips are not expected but greatly appreciated. Would recommend $20 usd daily to spread around. We’ve stay at other all inclusive and this is the best!

I was very disappointed with my stay. The food quality was poor, and both my girlfriend and I ended up with food poisoning. The staff members we interacted with were quite rude, which made the experience even worse. The bed was uncomfortable, and the AC was extremely noisy throughout the night. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel

My family and I had an amazing stay!!! Our concierge team, Juan and Jose were excellent, very helpful and responsive, always respectful and never intrusive. Rosie assisted with our check in and was so lovely and welcoming. She went above and beyond to ensure my family members were placed nearby one another. The coffee at Ciemara was delicious and the women working there learned my order by the 3rd morning. The hostess was also extremely friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend the spa. It was a treat and the staff so professional. Miguel, one of our frequent servers, always took great care of us. ALL STAFF were gracious and friendly. We were in great hands with Jose and Juan and appreciated being able to text them for any needs. The interactions and connections were a highlight of our stay. I suggest upgrading to The Level. In addition to an easier check in/out, the private restaurant for Level guests had some nice offerings. Overall it was not a party vibe (which I appreciated) but there was nightlife if you sought it out. My son enjoyed Tony the bartender. The beach was spectacular, never crowded and we had some glorious swims. The sweet resort kitties were adorable. The staffs’ positive energy was contagious. No ask was too small. Highly recommended and am already looking forward to a return trip. Thanks to everyone there who took great care of us, especially our “abuelita”.
