Nice property. When you get there they give you a mimosa. My room was clean. They kept the property clean and the pool clean. White sand beach was beautiful also. Only problem i had was that once we checked in a lady was waiting and since thos was pur first day here she wanted to setup a special breakfast and give a complimentary gift. Come to find out it wad a presentation to get us to buy i to the the property like a timeshare but you get to book anytime you want. If she wouldnhave said that feom the beginning i wouldnt have went. Even though we said no they continued to try to talk us into buying. Took most of the day. I didnt like that. Food was ok. Really liked the mexican restaurant. Activities on the resort, gym open all day. Not a bad resort to stay.

Staff was very rude and unfriendly. Drinks at all bars were mediocre, even when bar was empty. Very limited choice for dining, mainly because the restaurants open ~3/7 days a week, which forces you to make some choices for which restaurant to visit. It is also a hassle to make reservations because they open on the same day at 7:30am. If you do not catch a reservation at 7:30, you will likely not fit a large party into the restaurant because it will be full. The restaurant food was good, but it does not compete with other hotels in the same price range when it comes to quality and availability. The spa and sauna were closed when we went, which coincidentally was one of the things we were looking forward to the most. Bad luck I guess. Supposed renovations, but there was no work being done, so I suspect they just close it during the off season. Entertainment was 0-none. Overall it’s okay as a mediocre DR experience, but you can get so much better for the same price range. I wish I would’ve done some more research.

This was my second time to this resort, the food is very good and well seasoned. The drink host Teresa in the lobby made me and my brothers feel so welcome every night. For those concerned about safety no problems in that area. The facility is beautiful and is walkable and it has transportation around the grounds. It will need some updating soon but nothing to deter from experience. Would I return, absolutely!

This is the second brothers trip we have had at Ocean Blue and Sand. Food excellent, rooms great even the entertainment was better. Teresa the waitress in the lobby made this trip memorable.

This property is catered to Spanish speakers. There was little translation happening at the activities which left us Americans feeling left out because we don’t speak Spanish. The staff that could speak English was helpful but they were busy.
