Before I book any resort, I read the reviews on here and reseach with the understading that there are always going to be differences in opinions and preferences. That being said, we do not recommend this resort. Here are our honest thoughts about the resort. We stayed at the all-adult side, El Beso. Good-The room was spacious. The beach and lagoon were beautiful. The pools and lazy river are nice. Needs Improvement-The food was below average. Do not have the steak at the steak house restaurant. Very disappointing. The best restaurants were the Italian and Mexican, but nothing was better than average. Poor-Overall, the service was poor. I think we had good service about 2 times the entire trip, Generally, we felt the staff was not hospitable and were indifferent towards guests. For example, we went to lunch one day and asked 3 times if we could order. After an hour of not receiving our food, we walked out. Looking around the restaurant, a lot of people looked upset. It seemed very disorganized, and the employees did not know how to multi-task. There were only 2 waiters for the entire restaurant, and other employees were standing around doing nothing. The first time we went to get towels, (on the day we arrived) the employee asked us to wait, and he used Google Translate on his phone. He then proceeded to tell us he was sick and hungry, and asked for money for food. This has NEVER happened to us before in the over 15 times we have stayed at an all-inclusive.

Not much good to say about this property, place is beautiful, however service is horrible. Do not go to the presentation which concierge offers. Ron lied to us offered us 30mints of Spa however we only got 20mints. Do not trust him with anything. The restaurants food quality was horrible, buffet same everyday not much variety. Need to give props where due Pizza at buffet was the best!!!!

We really enjoyed staying here. Many places to eat with good food. We loved our porch with the swing to sit in and read. We relaxed by the pools and also on the beach every day. We loved how they kept our room clean and at night they left us nice little mints and always made our bed look so nice. The bartender in the lobby was always so nice to make me a good coffee in the mornings. We enjoyed many Margaritas too. They tasted very good, not the fake mix kind. We enjoyed breakfast every morning down by the beach.

Pros: Beautiful beach and lagoon for swimming, lots of pool choices, most of the staff were wonderful. We were assigned a butler which we didn't understand but Jose was friendly and helpful. Cons: Loud music near one of the bars every evening until 11pm... Some of the entertainment was not on par for the type of resort we were at - especially the Michael Jackson show on Friday nights (not good at all). Food options - booked 3 dinners at reservation only restaurants - the Steakhouse served me raw bacon on my beef kabobs, portions were tiny. Italian and Sakura were understaffed and we didn't even end up dining there. Main buffet restaurant was loud and chaotic...almost slipped on the greasy floor several times in the food area. We mostly ate at the smaller buffet place near the beach. Quieter and staff were awesome. They don't put spoons on all the table settings which was weird. We were always looking for spoons. Room was ok - was always muggy in the room and I should have asked for a dehumidifier. Even the sheets felt wet which was very uncomfortable to sleep in. Getting a bed or chairs near the pool was a game - I had to wake up at 5am every morning to put our stuff on one of them unless they were all gone by 7am. Towels kept running out near the pool. Bars were just ok and drinks were just alright. There was 1 gift shop at the resort which was overpriced and limited selection. We did an excursion called Ocean Spa and it was nice being out on the water.

Normally I don’t write reviews. However, due to the impeccable service of our butler Jose Miguel Jimenez I feel compelled to. My wife and I stayed on the El Beso side of the resort for one week. Jose was there for our every need. Even to the point of coming up to us to see if we needed anything when he saw us out enjoying the resort. On our last evening there he set up a romantic dinner for us since we were there celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. First Class Service!!!!!

My stay here was amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I was treated like a VIP guest and my butler Jose Miguel helped with any request I had. If I was a reservation for one of the reservation only restaurants he made sure to get me one, he allowed me to stay in my room past check out time without any additional fees as well as any other request I may have had. Jose definitely made my trip simple and more enjoyable than I expected it would be. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend.

Jose the butler was the highest level of professionalism. He was very accommodating and available. It’s evident he cares about his job. He followed through with all things he promised. Some but not all waiters, waitresses and staff were rude, un-accommodating and had a no care attitude. Especially horrible were the ones in the privilege restaurant.The common areas like the lobbies were updated but the Royal Master Suite we were in was outdated. Many of the staff seemed out right lazy!

This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive hotel. We chose the adult only side because we thought it would be the better choice, but there was no big difference from the adult side to the regular side. All the food is on the regular side of the resort. The buffets were not that great and the à la carte restaurants give you small servings. I did not like that people reserved beach beds early in the morning. The beach chairs on the adult side are very limited.

My wifeand I stayed at El Beso Hotel & Resort, and we had such a relaxing and enjoyable time! The resort itself is the perfect place to unwind—I loved the spa, the beach, and the pool, and there were plenty of great restaurant options to choose from. The staff was amazing—so friendly, lively, and always ready to help. Our concierge, Jose, was super friendly and checked in with us to see if we needed help with dinner reservations or excursions. He pointed us in the right direction and connected us with the best people, making things easy. While we didn’t need a ton of assistance, it was nice knowing he was there if we needed anything. On top of that, we met some great people along the way, which made the trip even better. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I’d definitely come back!

We were surprised at how much repair and basic maintenance the buildings needed. Pool tiles were missing and swim up bar counters were cracked. The worst part was the condition of poolside and beech lounge chairs. They were filthy, broken and the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever used.
