The room wasn't great at first but I mentioned everything that was wrong to our online concierge who immediately made contact when we checkin and it was all taken care of within an hour. Our online concierge Carlos Enrique Buayone was available at all times to assist in making dinner reservations, ideas to do around the area, or any questions we had, was quick to help. The property was easy to navigate and was clean. Food was good my favorite restaurant is Sakura and Margarita.

Soy de las personas que nunca dejo reseñas pero la realidad es que en este hotel perdimos nuestro dinero. Las habitaciones están llenas de humedad y cucarachas, no importa a cual habitación te cambien en todas pasa lo mismo. Las opciones de la comida son sumamente limitadas y hubo una noche que hicieron un buffet diferente que en realidad solo tenía 4 o 5 opciones. Por favor no vayan créanme que van a perder su dinero y van a pasar unas horribles vacaciones.

I recently book this hotel for my son birthday because of the water park when we arrived the hotel was dirty. The water park was closed they did not mention that and the staff was rude. I WILL ADVISE EVERYONE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED

Desde que llegamos fue un problema, habiamos reservado dos habitaciones con dos camas cada una y cuando llegamos NO habia disponibilidad, No hay personal suficiente, los restaurantes en su mayoria cerrados y habia que hacer la reservacion el mismo dia y ya a las 8:00 am no habia chance, el water park para los ninos cerrado, el jueves llovio muchisimo y en la habitacion de mis suegros caia mas agua adentro que afuera y lo unico que nos dieron para solventar fueron toallas, fue una experiencia malisima habernos quedado en ese hotel, Yo fui a celebrar mi cumpleanos con mi familia y no nos quedo ganas de volver ni regalado. Muy mala la experiencia en ese hotel.

First day- promised 2 rooms next to each other but were placed on the other side of the building. One room smelled like mildew with a dehumidifier that was beeping all night, the balcony door was extremely difficult to open with no handle on the outside so if it was shut it could not be opened from the outside. The sink was leaking in the bathroom. There was only the burger place open that served burnt burgers and did not listen to custom requests. Everything came with ketchup and mayo even when asked for plain. The vegan in the group was not accommodated at all. He asked for fries with guacamole. Was served fries with mayo on the plate and a tiny side of guacamole. He got sick. The towel stand was closed over an hour early so we couldn't get towels for the pool. The kids' zone and water park are both closed for the duration of our trip. Went to the pool bar and was only served 2 drinks before he told me he's done then served another group 2 more times. Dinner at Villamarina was decent. Tried to shower but no hot water. Second day- a guy from the resort took us to the breakfast buffet then carted us around the property showing us what we could have had as far as rooms/ amenities. Offered to take our money to go off-site and buy weed for us. Then they pretty much forced alcohol on us, bringing drink after drink encouraging us to finish them, as they tried to talk us into spending $23k on their 20-year vacation program. There’s way more but I don’t have enough characters

Our first time to the DR ocean el faro was great some of the best food from a AI resort very quiet during non peak times we went with the privilege package and our butler Jose was amazing making our trip very enjoyable very clean resort and property was well kept also the beds were comfortable would stay again

We stayed at Ocean El Faro last week and I have nothing but good things to say about this property. The resort was beautiful and very kid friendly. Kevin was a really good host and a butler, from day one he made sure all are needs were met as we were travelling with young kids, he went out of his way to make sure we get to enjoy each and every restaurant that required reservations and checked on us every day. Also Susan at the kids play area was a tremendous employee. She took care of my child so well and he enjoyed playing hours in the play room. Jose and Elizabeth at the sports bar were always so welcoming. Overall, it was a good stay and we would surely want to go back again. Thumbs up to Ocean El Faro team.
