The pool was a lovely temperature and there was always something fun going on. We loved the swim up bar. I wish the staff enforced the rule about not holding the lounge chairs because they were usually all taken before 9am and people took off for hours so no one else could use the chairs. Also would like to see the pool a bit better maintained and cleaned.

I’ll start with the BEST: We were assigned a butler-not realizing you don’t have to have them if you don’t want-but for us, he did come in very handy. Jose was wonderful and often went above and beyond. Example-Our daughter was sick when we landed on his way into work he actually stopped at the pharmacy and grabbed Flonase for me. the LITTLE things!! The property is absolutely amazing. I can’t speak highly enough about all it had to offer. Pools, beaches, bars…There was something to entertain everyone!!! It was well kept. Nice beach with a little lagoon off to the side(perfect for calm waters) The staff is friendly and most work hard. Room was cleaned daily and even bed turned down most nights 💚. And we LOVE cats(not everyone does but I bet they like them more than they like Lizards mice and rats!) I do wish they’d put a donation box up and get the male cats neutered we would’ve left $100 to contribute to that but it was a great source of entertainment for my kids! The coffee shop is the BEST and those ladies have it down!! And burger bar decent Rooms need some real TLC especially bathrooms. And humidity in rooms had our clothes damp and smelly. And FYI watch the sales pitch people selling timeshare bs. Good excursions around Food was just ok! Buffet was best option and Sakura. Steakhouse needs to perfect cooking steak and Italian was terrible. Again best restaurant-coffee shop! Get rid of seed oil used to cook EVERYTHING-PERFECT the food and then it’s a 5

Our stay at Ocean El Faro was amazing. Resort is one of the nicest resorts we’ve been to. Marine vibe of the resort is one of a kind and view from the top of the lighthouse is breathtaking. Rooms are very nice and clean. Big shout out to our butler Jose who made our stay at the resort way easier and help us with every request that we had ( not that we had a lot of them, lol) Definitely will be coming back to Ocean El Faro in the future

Our stay was wonderful for the most part aside from the fact that a few of us got Sick for a few days of the trip. The buffet was meh! Seemed the same everyday. Our favourite place was Blue Moon, food was fantastic but its adults only so not very convenient for ppl travelling with children. The service staff, bartenders, waitresses etc. were all extremely friendly and provided excellent service. Our concierge for the week was Kevin, he provided daily updates for the resort, handled booking our reservations and was excellent with any questions or Concerns we had. He was wonderful. All in all good vacation !

Kevin our butler was amazing! He booked us dinner reservations every night for our group of 8 and helped with other things we needed throughout the trip (more water to the room, staff to come as we forgot our safe code, etc). The resort was overall great for our family, we spent most of our time at the waterpark as our kids are 5 and 4. The lazy river was awesome, a lot of water features and the other pools also were great. The beach had nice sand but unfortunately we came shortly after a large hurricane in the Caribbean so there was a lot of seaweed at the time but the staff was working hard to get rid of it. The restaurants were all good and the buffet also always had decent options. Mikes coffee was awesome but always had a HUGE line (30 min wait sometimes). They need more baristas to help this. If you just want an espresso, latte or americano you can go to the front lobby bar and they will make it there for you. We ended up doing this most mornings so it was much quicker. Our kids went to the kids club once and enjoyed it. The ladies working there were lovely and whatsapp-ed up as soon as our kids asked to leave. They did a treasure hunt, painting and foam party! Overall we were pleasantly surprised with this resort!

I spent my birthday celebration at Ocean El Faro and it was a beautiful experience overall. The property is beautiful. It's not too big and not too small. The size is perfect as it walkable, which allots for easy access to all activities. The restaurants and bars were really good. However, trying to get serviced at the lobby bar at night was mostly a challenge. The women servers weren't welcoming at all. They'd pass by multiple times without acknowledging some of is patrons. The male bartenders were awesome though. Other than that I'd give the resort a 9/10. I would definitely book again.

Ocean El Faro is a well kept and maintained resort staffed by a large number of friendly, bilingual and exceptionally courteous staff. Over the course of our two week stay the high quality of service never wavered. Our concierge, Jose was the absolute best! He made all aspects of our stay comfortable and convenient and even chatted with us around the resort during the course of the day. An outstanding representative of Ocean El Faro! As this was our second stay at Ocean El Faro, several of the staff remembered us and went out of their way to welcome us back. We took a snorkeling trip using the resorts service. It was very affordable and included incredible door to door service. Carlos explained the variety of tours available and recommended the perfect one for us. Lunch at sea was included which turned out to be surf n turf, ceviche and several other delicious options. Alejandro, master bartender and his waitresses, Erika and Anna hosted us in the wonderful lobby and did a wonderful job with their customers. Ocean El Faro’s several themed restaurants served VERY good food and there was always a place to eat. The poolside waitresses were constantly on the move delivering drinks. The Fitness Center included new, modern exercise equipment and several cardio machines and there was almost always room to swim 100 meter laps in the pool. The buildings and landscape were well maintained with a breezy coconut plantation feel that only added to the relaxing atmosphere.

The room wasn't great at first but I mentioned everything that was wrong to our online concierge who immediately made contact when we checkin and it was all taken care of within an hour. Our online concierge Carlos Enrique Buayone was available at all times to assist in making dinner reservations, ideas to do around the area, or any questions we had, was quick to help. The property was easy to navigate and was clean. Food was good my favorite restaurant is Sakura and Margarita.
