Property is VERY clean. However, we waited over 1.5 hours after check-in for our rooms to be ready. Very commercialized, staff did not seem to care to give a personalized experience.

Pros- in general nice property. Looks decent and large. Lots of areas for beach and pool. Cons- sales people in hotel and outside of hotel. Jesus they harass you non stop. How many people selling dolphin tours do I need to say no to in order to stop being asked. One night they let the vendors selling stuff in i say no they still insist I continue with no and they try everything to drag you over. Had to avoid lobby rest of the night. It’s so bad you see them near the pools and just avoid walking that way. The beach people they can’t control since it’s public but they will harass you even worse you literally have to ignore them or tell them to pound sand. The food......pretty bad border line criminal. The restaurants are ok with rare being the best. Even the royal suites restaurant was sub par with food coming cold on the inside. 90% of the buffet food was cold every single day. This included breakfast, lunch, dinner. I would get there when they first open stuff would still be cold. Not even like warm just cold. Cold eggs, cold French toast. Cold steaks, cold everything except dessert. The desserts are hidden behind a glass case so you have to ask someone if their there for them..... weird but ok. Well the desserts are all Luke warm it’s bizarre and for most part aren’t very good. I’m sure people got sick from this. Food was disappointing. The rooms- first room was a master suite. Terrible either trucks parked in front of room.

We really enjoyed the evening entertainment. Every night there was a different show and the performers were excellent. Otherwise, all staff were very friendly and helpful.

MY girlfriend and I had an overall great experience at this gorgeous resort. The resort and rooms were amazing and we had no complains. We had the Royal Service and assigned Felix who helped us out with all our reservations and needs. Felix was extremely nice and helpful with whatever we needed. This trip we celebrated my girlfriend's birthday and our 2 year dating anniversary. On the day of my girlfriend's birthday, Felix reserved us a cabana by the royal service pool, which he decorated and had a chilled champagne bottle for us. Back in the room, he also decorated the room and got her a cake with another bottle of champagne. Thank you Felix for making our vacation extra special.  We did have a couple criticisms about the resort. As I do understand they cater to the guests and provide a zen experience for guests. However, we felt like they should have music playing by the pool. Even a simple tropical instrumental would be nice to enjoy while sitting by the pool. They did have entertainment on certain days during the afternoons by the pool. Also, not all days they had Dominican food available. Everyday they had Indian food at the buffet, I feel like Dominican food is the one that should at the buffet daily. The restaurants were good but kind of hit or miss. Bana and Aqua were our favorites! The food was delicious and the service was even better. Rare and Vento, we didn't have the best experience. Beautiful hotel, pool and beach. Food was best at the Buffett for breakfast and lunch. Some of the restaurants rushed our meals and had to wait for cocktails...beautiful courtyard with cocktail lounges and great bartenders. Only negative is we found it somewhat harassing on the beach with venders trying to sell us something constantly. It was’nt like that two years ago. Maybe they could set up tables or booths so if someone is interested they can go to them? Fernando on the beach was wonderful....happy and accommodating ...took nice pics of us too...also, great shaded swim up bar. Could improve on bar snacks though. Rooms were beautiful and clean and picked up two times a day all week long.

Stayed in All-Inclusive resorts 7 times. Twice in Paradisus. DON'T STAY IN THIS HOTEL. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Were told all restaurants were full on Christmas Eve. Thought we could go to the buffet restaurant. Said it out loud to the woman who made reservations. Buffet restaurant closed when we arrived because there was a big Christmas dinner for most guests in the conference hall. Were not told when making dinner reservations for entire stay. Went to Christmas dinner place and could not eat there because we did not have reservation. Know Christmas or New Year dinner is a big feast, but willing to give it up. HOW DARE PARADISUS STAFF KNOWINGLY LET GUESTS (MANY) GO HUNGRY ON CHRISTMAS EVE! Many services and physical problems (broken doors) with this hotel. It seems employees are not happy working there. Don't help each other to make guests enjoy their stay. Restaurant waiters/waitresses use your tables as workstation. Put clean silverware, glasses, and cups on your table and constantly retrieving them for other tables while you are eating. Tables are used as waiter workstation because there is no place to clean utensils - Confirmed. Workstations only large enough to keep 3 water bottles instead of water pitchers. Kitchen too far away to walk. Complaints documented & given to hotel management - Resolution not satisfied. Some good restaurant staff, of course we tip! Stay in Royalton 12/2017. Much better hotel and services. Don't write review like this. Really angry!

Best Lobby bar ever

Edison and Lilian at the main lobby bar are excellent and very welcoming. They made each evening special with their unique blend of delicious drinks, special treatment and outgoing personalities. You must go see them! They made the experience unforgettable.

Beware of Sea weed

We were shocked by the massive seaweed invasion during our stay (6/9 - 6/15/2018). Not just at the Paradisus Palma resort, but all other hotels in the area. Beware! It's awful. The entire beach is covered with seaweed. There were bulldozers and large dumptrucks working on the beach all day, shoveling up seaweed and dropping into dump trucks that hailed it away. Piles of seaweed were 10-12 feet wide which prevented hotel guests from entering the water. Very disappointing that we could not enjoy the beach. I don't recommend visiting Punta Cana at this time if you enjoy the beach. Another problem we had, upon our arrival, was with our 1st floor room. The Room smelled horrible as soon as we walked in the door. So musty, damp, even the bedding was damp/wet. Awful! We were not moved to another room until the following morning. I recommend anyone visiting this hotel to request a room on 2nd or 3rd floor. DO NOT go to a 1st floor room.
