Update: hotel denies my calls I constantly get hung up on saying the hotel manager doesn’t speak with guest and then I get hung up on this is very unprofessional. Expedia has still been waiting to hear back from the manager of the hotel on the refund and complaint center isn’t helping either. This is the service and 3 different rooms you get staying here. Let’s not also forget about one of the room smelling like straight throw up and an electrician coming in the second room (not kidding) one minute after getting in the room, and the rash I got from taking a Power Nap on top of the covers for less than 2 hours. RIU Macao knows how to reach me. It was our honeymoon. We intended to stay there from September 1 to September 7 for our honeymoon The first day of arrival we received the worst service very unwelcoming. Our first hotel room was a two bed when we asked for a one bed they then put us in a one bedroom that was atrocious not even one minute after arriving someone knocked on our door, which was an electrician saying he was asked to come to this room. There was mold on the ceilings mold in the lights lights were not working the bathroom smelled of throw up ,there were spiders hanging down from an open ventilation system, right above the door lights were not working and there were open outlets exposing wall. We then got a third room the AC wasn’t working. Spiders were crawling out from underneath the bed. It looked like a crime scene on the walls with neon green splatter all

Beautiful place, the aesthetics are so nice, modern and neutral colors. The rooms amazing, but be aware if you leave the balcony door open the AC shuts off, and every time you open the door it shuts off, which made the suite a bit warm at times. Everything clean, the only thing I could complain about are the pools were too warm to get in, all of them, I wish they were cool and they seemed full of oil, muggy color (the water). The beach was full of seaweed so couldn't get in, but that's nature. The food in the Buffet "El Patio" was amazing, better than the actual restaurants they had. They had shows/entertainment for you every day and night which was nice, gives you something to do. They offer exclusions right there (to buy) . Looks like we went at off peak season because it wasn't full at all, and the lounge and pool area were never full at capacity.

I loved staying at this resort! The only complaint I have is the pool with the swimup bar was dirty. The clarity of the water was murky with sediments throughout the pool. Overall, I had a wonderful experience!

We completely enjoyed our stay at Riu Palace Macao! The beach is beautiful, pools had plenty of space and food was delicious. We did a snorkeling trip and there were so many other trips offered. I would love to see a Dominican themed restaurant and it would be nice if the bars offered small snacks (chips, nuts, just things to snack on). But 10/10 trip for us.

Manager was supposed to be available but never involved himself in my conversation with staff. I purchased excursion and was overcharged during dollar conversion in multiple occasions. My room had roaches. When I arrived my room was not properly cleaned. The shower smelled like dog was there prior to me. Refrigerator had left over ice cream. My room was dirty and had mold. Meals at the buffet was the exact same everyday and that was very disappointing. I stayed in the “elite club” area and received a sparkling wine as a gift. The metal cap was rusty and the cork had mold. Got a replacement and it had mold as well. Room wasn’t cleaned properly even had a spider in the corner of my bathroom floor behind the door. I requested a room change but one wasn’t available as I had a swim up room. Bathroom sink doesn’t drain properly reported it, nobody came and fixed it. The area I was staying in hallway was dirty. My room door itself had mold spores on it and the walls and headboard area also has sign of mold. The coffee machine area was dirty and the cord for the coffee machine has mold. I killed a mosquito on the night stand and they came and “cleaned” the mosquito and the blood was still there.
