We had a wonderful stay overall. We booked a swim-out pool room, and while the pool was technically shared with the rest of the first floor, it still felt very private. The rooms could use a bit more upkeep, but nothing major, small things like the bathroom door sticking and some markings on the floor. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, and maintenance was constant. The kids loved the lazy rivers and the swim-up bars (pina coladas were a hit!). One downside was the teen hangout area,it required tokens to play the games, and the machine was broken the entire week we were there.There are also a few “hidden” things I wish we had known sooner. Mini golf requires you to go to the kids’ center to reserve a time, and most slots fill up quickly. The FlowRider also requires a reservation and an additional fee $30 for 15 minutes. Breakfast and lunch were great. For dinner, our favorites were Hunter Steakhouse and Zen. If you go to Zen, definitely do the hibachi show,it was excellent. Excursions were very easy to book, and the staff running them made sure everything went smoothly. The biggest downfall involved Expedia. A few days before arrival I received a text from an Expedia concierge who only handled our dinner reservations. On checkout day, he said he would meet me at the desk to complete a survey (and receive a tip), but when he didn’t show up, he repeatedly texted me asking me to complete the survey anyway. Even 2 days later he is still pushing this survey.

Nice relaxing stay and welcoming staff, Adoni was great in taking care of the family. Kids had a great time and pools were nice and clean. Beach was easy to access, food was good and there were a lot of options. Double room was big enough for everyone.

In 3 days trip, they changed my room everyday. 1st day, even though i was checking in 5 hours late as per their time they didnt provide me room immediately had to wait an hour for it, then they gave me the wrong room with 2 quueen size bed, wherein i booked a king size. 2nd day they gave me aroom in which AC was not working and it took them to figure that out and then they tell me it cant be fixed we'll changeyour room the next day. They didn't provide any upgrade or any services for the inconvenience caused

While it is a beautiful property, clean beautiful rooms (junior luxury suites), and pool/beach areas are well kept, drinking, dining, and transportation options are limited. The check-in took over 30 minutes. One of our guest had mobility issues and often had to give up on waiting for a ride anywhere. There were few places to call for a pick up and when there was one we would be reminded that it was for the diamond club members. If you’re not in the diamond club you will need to other arrangements for and trek for your meals. Definitely not worth the high price. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

We stayed in a Diamond Club room and had an incredible week. Jorge made our stay simple and went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed and more. The staff was more than pleasant and the Diamond club pool was amazing. We always were able to find a spot with no issue. The lazy river was a favourite and the entertainment was incredible for all ages! We loved our week at Royalton Bavaro!

Carlos main head chef who helped us serving Indian food during our stay and food was delicious. Hospitality is top notch. On guest service desk Yaneirys O she is a great and very helpful. Throughout our stay she helped us a lot. Overall i thoroughly appreciate the hospitality and enjoyed my vacation. One negative point is , do not offer $300 credits as they are of no use.

I would not recommend this property for families travelling with young children. There are very limited food options from 11:00 - 12:30 except for room service which took an average of 90 min each time we ordered it. We had a cockroach in our swim up Junior suite. The employees are very nice, but not very informed. Not automated, check in took over an hour and our bracelets did not work, we had to come back to the front desk. Again the people are great, the systems are terrible and the schedule is not condusive to young families. One lady went and bought an small electric cook top to cook for her child. Not a vacation. They need more flexibility in the food schedule and to automate their systems. If you overlook those items, the beach is one of the most beautiful, the lazy river and the kids pool are also excellent. The coffee shop was a hit as well as the coffee at the buffet was not very good. It is not the local team it is the management that needs to modernize and review the offerings. Best - the staff, beach and lazy river, coffee shop. The food - not great, the wait times, horrible, information when you ask someone is not always correct. 3.5/5

Realmente la atención es terrible, los tiempos para realizar la entrada y salida se puede prolongar por horas…. El personal no es muy amable y se tiene la sensación de que nos hablan de manera grosera y déspota, sobre todo un empleado que se encuentra en lobby llamado Hector. La limpieza no es la mejor, al llegar a la habitación se tiene la sensación de que está sucio, no limpian a profundidad y hay áreas donde realmente es visible. The staff are top notch! They wounded me with love all the way! I enjoyed my stay overall! Just the bathroom needs remodeling and the pest control service needs to be done everyday. Gave a 4 star because of the insect i saw in the room but other than that, everything was good! Also, please improve on the quality of the alcohol, they appear to be watered down. The food was average. Some days it is flavored well and some days it is not Joel, miguel, ria, carlos, adoni were super amazing!! Thank you for making our stay a memorable one!
