The room staff was very friendly and they took great care of the room daily- did a great job cleaning and keeping everything fresh and the turn down service while we were out for dinner every night was a very nice tough. The downside- We did not want to sit through a sales presentation about their VIP Membership as we just wanted to relax and they attempted to make us feel bad about it and continued to try to pressure us. We had to finally get mad and just tell them we were leaving....shouldn't have to feel that way on vacation.

Security aggression

Pros: Generally the hotel staff is very friendly and engaging.
Cons: Improvement of the local content in the food and activities of the hotel. Improve system of identification of hotel guests.
Just be careful returning from the beach to the property, the security may selectively try to stop you if they do not think that you fit the profile of a hotel guest. The hotel needs a better system of identifying guests in order to avoid misperceptions about the hotel and unnecessary aggressive behavior from the security detail.

It's no "Secret" there is nothing "Royal" Here

*The staff were unfriendly. *Drinks were watered down and served in small paper cups or in old dirty plastic cups (if available) *Room smelled like mildew *Seaweed everywhere, so if you are expecting clear ocean water research and ensure there is no seaweed at that time. *Constantly interrupted on the beach by people selling random things (cigars, jewlery, drugs, etc.) unpleasant to say the least. *The food was just "ok" *Service was Subpar, at best.

The only thing I would change is the beach

The beach had lots of seaweed! Spent most days in the pool. Enjoyed the atv ride and most of all the kids. Took snacks for them and passsd them out. It was a amazing experience. Canceled the horse back ride due to the horses looking so sick. Unfortunately they didn’t give us our money back so spent $100 for nothing. Locals are so nice and I’m so glad I went away from the resort to do some shopping.

My first trip to Punta Cana was amazing !!!! Service was incredible , I was actually sad to leave because of how nice everyone was, and also made some friends who worked there ! I will definitely recommend Secrets to friends and family if they ever plan a vacation!!

Fantastic stay. Entertainment team (all) were excellent. Bar staff were amazing. Variety of reataurants and quality were top notch. The UV start were annoying and could do without sales promotions while im on vacation. The romantic seaside dinner i paid for was moved, due to high wind, to an area alongside another restaurant. It was very disappointing. 2 other couples entered the area because it was not roped off or secluded. There was a guy with a white t shirt and his hat on backwards. Hardly romantic yet i has to pay full price. Better back up plan next time. Overall, we has a fantastic time and will be back.
